How his ex-gf breaks up with him, the number of workers at the bar and how they present, and the timeline of when he meets Shizume are all different. There's more but I'd have to watch the ep again specifically looking for changes from the manga. TBF it's impossible to make an adaptation that's panel to panel the exact same but it's interesting to me what they did change and what didn't.
I'm a huge fan of the manga so I hope this does well. First episode was good though it's hard not to see the missing scenes and changes. I like the acting though and the casting for Mama (bar owner) was perfect.
This one hit especially hard as a single soon-to-be-40 as well especially since I don't have a Keishi to chase after me. This is in my top 10 J-BL list for sure.
I like the Thai version so it's hard to not make constant comparisons but this is good so far. Far more sexual than most Japanese BLs and the two male leads seem comfortable with it. The story is more compact bc of the shorter run time so there are a few things I miss from the Thai version but I'm more impressed than with the LITA casting.
The vampire 'rules' here are pretty different from other vampire media which was a little frustrating. The last two eps kind of ruined the series for me.
This drama definitely needed at least two more episodes so we could see more interactions between them. With only 6 episodes mostly revolving around miscommunication, we don't really get to know these characters at all. It's a bummer because the production and acting are pretty good, but this will be unmemorable.
Overall disappointing. I really liked the cast but the story was too underdeveloped and the editing was all over the place. The cast did what they could with garbage.
Same. The actors have some chemistry but, and I say this for most vampire/human romance tbf, this 100s year old has no business being so attracted to this room temperature butter.
This is in my top 10 J-BL list for sure.
