Everyone Was Hurt, but Nobody Was Innocent

I honestly don’t even know how to feel after finishing this drama. 😭

Reflection of You is such a complicated story about love, betrayal, obsession, revenge, and the consequences of our choices. What I loved most is that none of the characters are completely innocent, but none of them are entirely evil either.

I found myself rooting for Hee-joo throughout the drama, even though I knew she had made some terrible decisions. I couldn’t help but sympathize with her. I genuinely believe she loved Woo-jae, and that’s what made everything so painful. But at the same time, I understood why she wanted to protect the family and life she had built.

And Hae-won… I never hated her. Not once. She was deeply hurt and betrayed by the people she trusted most. Although her desire for revenge eventually consumed her, I could still understand where her pain came from. That’s what made her character so tragic.

Woo-jae, on the other hand, was probably the character who confused and frustrated me the most. Watching his love turn into something so obsessive and destructive was unsettling. I kept wondering whether he truly loved Hee-joo or whether he simply couldn’t accept losing her.

And I have to give a special mention to Kim Jae-young, who played Woo-jae. His performance was a solid 10/10 for me. The way he portrayed such a complicated character, going from charming and passionate to obsessive and frightening, was incredible. Woo-jae frustrated me so much, but I couldn’t take my eyes off him. He really brought the character’s emotional instability to life.

And that ending?! I was left with so many emotions and questions. It wasn’t the satisfying closure I was hoping for, but maybe that was the point. Not every mistake can be undone, not every relationship can be repaired, and not everyone gets a happy ending.

A Cruel Ending, an Incredible Performance, but a Dragged-Out Story

I have mixed feelings about this drama. While I wouldn’t say it was amazing overall, there were definitely aspects that made it worth watching.

The highlight for me was Jae-min, and especially Jo In-sung’s incredible performance. He was easily the most interesting character, and the actor portrayed his emotions so convincingly that I couldn’t help but feel invested in him, despite all his flaws. He really carried the drama for me.

Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the story itself. The pacing was quite slow, and there were many moments when the plot felt dragged out and repetitive. At times, I honestly wasn’t that interested in what was happening, which made the drama less enjoyable than it could have been.

As for the ending, I definitely wasn’t expecting it, although I had my suspicions about Soo-jung’s true feelings. I believe she genuinely loved Jae-min, but everything surrounding their relationship made it extremely difficult for her to admit it, even to herself. That made the ending even more tragic.

Was the ending cruel? Absolutely. But was it bad? I don’t think so. It was shocking, heartbreaking, and ultimately fitting for the kind of story the drama was trying to tell.

Overall, What Happened in Bali is a 7/10 for me. It’s not a drama I loved from beginning to end, but Jae-min’s character, Jo In-sung’s performance, and that unforgettable ending are what made it memorable.

A disappointing ending to an already frustrating story

Bloody Romance — A disappointing ending to an already frustrating story

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this drama. It started off interesting, and I was curious to see how the story would unfold, but somewhere along the way, I started losing interest. Some parts became so boring that I found myself skipping scenes just to get through it.

I also struggled to connect with the romance. Chang An clearly loved Wan Mei, but he kept too many secrets and made so many mistakes that could have been avoided with better communication. As for the Prince, I don’t think he ever really understood how to love someone properly. So, in the end, I wasn’t particularly rooting for either of them.

Wan Mei was a character I wanted to root for, but even my feelings about her were mixed at times.

And then there’s that ending. After everything these characters went through, what exactly was the point? Everyone seemed to end up either alone, heartbroken, or miserable. I don’t necessarily need a happy ending to enjoy a drama, but I do want an ending that feels satisfying or makes all the suffering worthwhile. This one just left me feeling empty.

Overall, Bloody Romance had an interesting premise and plenty of potential, but the pacing, frustrating characters, and unsatisfying ending made it difficult for me to fully enjoy. I finished it, but I can’t say I loved it.

Intense, captivating and hot

This is easily one of the best historical romance dramas I’ve ever watched. A solid 9/10 for me, and definitely one of my top three.

The chemistry between the main couple is absolutely off the charts. Their relationship feels different from what I usually see in historical romances, and there’s something so intense, captivating, and honestly hot about them together. I was completely invested in their relationship from beginning to end.

I also loved the story, the plot, and the characters. The pacing was just right — it never felt too slow, but it also didn’t rush through important moments. There was always something interesting happening that kept me wanting to continue, and the story never felt unnecessarily dragged out.

And I have to mention the soundtrack, because it was another highlight for me. There are so many songs from this drama that I absolutely love, and the music added so much to the atmosphere and emotion of the story. It’s one of those soundtracks that stays with you even after you’ve finished watching.

Overall, I just loved everything about this drama. The romance, the incredible chemistry, the characters, the pacing, the story, and the music — it all came together beautifully for me. It’s the kind of historical romance that completely pulls you in and makes you genuinely care about the couple and their journey.

10/10. One of my absolute favorites and officially in my top three. ❤️‍🔥

Love, Possession, and a Whole Lot of Pain

Just finished watching this series, and what can I say? For such a short series, I have to give credit to both the production and the plot. The story felt different from what I usually see, which I really appreciated.

At the beginning, it was a very enjoyable love story, and I was genuinely invested in the relationship. But from the middle until the end? It was almost torture. I wouldn’t say there was no love during that part of the story, because there definitely was, but the amount of angst was just too much. By the time I reached the final episodes, it was pretty obvious to me that there was no happy ending in sight. At that point, it simply felt impossible.

I usually enjoy possessive male leads, and at the beginning I actually liked him. But by the end, I was just thinking, “Come on, dude, you’re making everything worse!” 😭 There’s possessive, and then there’s actively destroying any chance you have of being happy together.

Overall, I gave it an 8/10, because I think it deserved it. I’ll always support dramas that are willing to give us different kinds of love stories instead of just butterflies, perfect romances, and unrealistic relationships. This one was messy, painful, intense, and definitely not an easy watch—but at least it tried to do something different, and I can appreciate that.

A Heartbreaking 10/10 Masterpiece

Where should I even start? This drama is just too good for me. I watched the Chinese version in the past, and that one was already very good, but this? 10/10 in everything. The plot, the soundtrack, the cast (OMG, what a cast!).

I love IU, and I’m used to loving her work, but here I think she is absolutely outstanding. The way the characters are built is just way too good. It’s not often that I relate to and like this many characters in one drama, but the whole show is written in a way that makes you love each and every brother. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Korean drama with this many great actors all in one place. Really, what a cast!

And the music? It just makes you cry. And yes, this drama brought me to tears over and over and over again.

If the question is, “Should I watch it?” my answer is definitely yes. This is an easy 10/10 for me. It’s in my top three Korean historical dramas and has moved me so deeply that it’s actually hard to describe.

What a drama. What a story. And what an emotional roller coaster. ❤️

Perfect for Political Drama Lovers, Not So Much for Romance Lovers

I started this drama with really high expectations, and I have to say, most of them were met. The female lead was one of the highlights for me. She portrayed her emotions beautifully, and I found it really easy to understand and relate to what she was feeling.

I also surprisingly enjoyed the love triangle. Love triangles can sometimes feel frustrating or suffocating, but this one was handled well. It ended when it needed to, without being dragged out unnecessarily, and I felt like everyone’s emotions were valid and understandable.

That being said, as a huge romance lover, I was definitely expecting more in that department. The romance was a very slow burn—and I mean VERY slow. We basically got one kiss in 40 episodes, with most of the romantic payoff saved for the final episode. For me, the romance department was definitely lacking, and I wish we had gotten more moments between the leads throughout the drama.

As for the plot itself, I found it interesting and engaging enough to keep me watching. Overall, I enjoyed the drama and it lived up to many of my expectations, but I can’t help feeling that a little more romance would have made it much more satisfying for me.

An Imperfect but Unforgettable Drama

I have just finished this drama and I must admit how surprised I am by how much I enjoyed it.

First, the negatives: the female lead was often quite blank and annoying. Out of all the main characters, she was probably my least favorite. At times it felt like things happened around her rather than because of her actions. The only thing I really appreciated was her final choice.

On the other hand, I absolutely loved Chun Jong-beom. He was such an atypical male lead. Watching him go from seemingly emotionless to loving someone so deeply that he would sacrifice everything for her was incredibly compelling. He wasn’t a perfect hero, and that’s exactly what made him interesting. More than a romance character, he felt like someone constantly struggling against his own nature and trying to become worthy of love.

I also think the story deserves more credit than it gets. It had several plot twists that genuinely caught me off guard and kept me guessing until the end. The drama constantly challenged my assumptions about fate, love, and whether people can truly change.

Overall, it’s definitely not a flawless drama, but it was far more ambitious, emotional, and psychologically interesting than I expected, and Chun Jong-beom is a character I won’t forget anytime soon. ❤️
