I love the scene between the Xiao brothers even though Xiao Wenjing stabbed his brother. Xiao Wuyang is too good,…
Why. Why. Why. Why the need for a redemption, or rationalization, or wiggle room with YWJ? Ask yourself if you would ever, under any circumstances, poison one of your best friends with a snake, hack someone in the head, chop another human to pieces, stab your brother, etc. There are no circumstance that make any of it okay.
And, just because the old emperor is a good guy acting in good will does not mean that the bad guy he is talking too - the baby emperor - is also good. YWJ 100% did not need to stab his brother twice nor did he need to have the look of enjoyment on his face when he did it like all his other killings.
Evil is as evil does. Xiao Wen Jing is an unredeemable bad guy with a black heart. The only reason to make any excuse for him is that the writer may need him at the end to be the returning emperor. Which just means they have an evil emperor. The end.
Having a heavy reaction to Ep. 24 and my least favorite drama character. Stop already with the Xiao Wen Jing (baby…
He did not have to poison his classmate/friend with a snake. He did not have to hack his look alike in the head. He did not have to hack up the stalker. He did not have to stab his own brother twice. These are choices he made.
The look on his face when he stabbed his brother was the same as his past killings/axing - he enjoyed it. It was the worst act of violence for me - even beyond the ML sister death. Who the f stabs their family for a pact with the devil?
The only take away from this characters' arch is sometimes, when there is enough power, money, blood line, and lack of an alternative, evil people find their place - emperor. There is nothing heroic about his actions, in any scene he is in. He is nothing more than a psycho sicko. Why can't people just accept this at face value?
If the end of this drama places this axe murderer as the emperor then it will not be the first time in history that an emperor/king/monarch/ruler/president is evil to the core.
Having a heavy reaction to Ep. 24 and my least favorite drama character. Stop already with the Xiao Wen Jing (baby emperor) redemption arch nonsense!! The writer is 100% not giving him a redemption arch. There is nothing redeemable about him. Snake, axe, or knife - it does not matter. Evil is as evil does.
Confused. We were informed one episode a day which is ep. 23. Who and how was ep.24 released? How are people able to post something they have no access too? Was it legally shown somewhere today? And, yes, now that I know, I agree that comments about ep. 24 should wait until tomorrow.
After two long weeks putting off this drama so I can binge watch in chirstmas, with all my snacks and beverages…
You are very brave. I am typically a binge watcher though with this drama it is not possible for me. Need breaks in between. Its very intense and confrontational.
Congratulations Liu Yi Jun who would have ever thought you could make it to the hot middle aged man kickin serious ass list. What is going on with this drama?
i think as the plot has been through XHA's lens throughout , in first part we were all as invested as XHA in revenge…
See your point - the new twist really shocked him. Thinking its because he did not see past exacting the blood revenge for his father. Agree that one episode a day is part of killing the pace - and my frustration with the plot transition.
