This drama is trying to do too much. The writing is all over the place. The individual character development and their naratives alone are heavily burdened. The leads are on different internal planets at different times for different reasons making it impossible to mix together from the viewers side and stay motivated to watch.
The overall plot itself wrote a check it can not cash. Working with multiple drama genres and heavily comitting to each one (Revenge, Romance, Mystery, Historical, Politics, Spy, etc.) leaves a chopped up watered down effect overall. Add in big dallops of alternative concepts like philosophy, social manifest ideations, energy/guiding light principles (Buddha, God, Toa, etc.) and its nothing short of what/huh/why viewer exhaustion.
Top this all off with unwatchable exceedingly bad acting on the part of the FL nullifying the must watch exceedingly good acting by the ML (I feel sorry for him) and reasonable acting from the supporting cast.
Well said. LXI is doing all the work. ZMZY has become Angela Baby 2.0 for me. opening her big eyes 2-3 millimeter…
I hate to agree with you but I 100% do. I had to stop watching Blossom 3/4 of the way through because her use of 3 millimeter eyes vs actual acting drove me lala. Her acting is mediocre at best though I can imagine some potential. Not sure if she needs to work on her acting/facial expressions or her attitude.
POV regarding the FL - The way I see her is that she is a product of her upbringing. No one to trust and the only way to survive under all circumstances is to say nothing no matter what. I also am imagining her focused 24/7 on saving her brother and in automatic default mode all of her moves (including those that make no sense on the surface) are in service of that ultimate goal. She takes a step forward towards him irregardless of who is or is not around her. Its one of the points that makes this drama interesting - that both the FL & the ML are not just motivated by revenge.
Yeah there is too much going on in this one. I've paused watching 'till more episodes happen. I'll start watching…
Could not agree more. Just woke up and decided to hold off on watching for a while. Too much going on and once again a good cdrama is cutting into my work headspace.
Still getting Prince 3 & 4 mixed up when they come on screen. They look so much alike it requires a second thought. Casting did a good job selecting them as brothers - maybe too good of a job.

Bottom line - who cares.
