tnx for the info. i appreciate it. seems to circle back to the accent/pronunciation issue (e.g., Ren & Wang). makes more sense. can easily see the dialgogue, line delivery and accent being a good guage for the actors abilities and the value of the drama.

good question. am I trippen or is the father a bad guy? is the puppet brother about to show up as the 'groom-to-be? does the father have something to do with it? or, is my imagination going way off?
I'm seeing 8.3 rn, which is around the most cdramas get around here, this site favours kdramas more when it comes…
I am referring to this drama only. Its underated. I support this site. There are many wonderful people here who know the difference between right and wrong. The reason to not trust the MDL system is not because of the humans using the site and those that are administering it. The reason not to trust the system is because the algorithm is outdated and does not account for 'bad actors'. These algorithms were coded way back when human rating behavior was 'honest'.
How many times have almost all of us here asked why is this drama's rating so low? I wrote a post a few days ago about how/why the algorithms on MDL are flawed and outdated (yes, its my profession). There are negative energy players (paid or unpaid) who know how to get around the MDL rating system and that is what happened with this drama. So, they stepped in right after the initial release of this drama and pre-rated the drama at 5.00-5.5 (including the overall rating, the episode ratings, and the review ratings). The MDL system then sets itself low and requires a bucketfull of positive ratings to offset the negative ratings and even then a true higher rating is not possible.
What can be done at this point? I see that the admin has taken corrective measures by preloading the episode ratings. We can rate carefully each episode as high as we believe as soon as the episode airs. We can also start offsetting the low review rating content by starting our positive reviews now (we are going to need a lot of them). We can remind anyone who comes to the site that this drama is worth the watch and tell them why. Results: with a concerted group effort (being 100% honest with our opinions, observatons, and preferences) we should be able to push the rating up at least to 8.4 or 8.5. Thoughts?
