In fact he had a similar conversation with his Mom when he visited her in jail but his Mom was already plotting ways to dismiss the case, and he just felt disconnected with her. He went with her fake alibi suggestion as there was no other way to get around it but he didn't know she was busy corrupting the Investigator.
In fact, if his superiors know that he did not catch a criminal who was repeating his initial offense, because he Kang Min listened to a civilian and that criminal later stabbed someone, he could be blamed and suspended.
He failed to do his job and the fact that he accused Do Ha of being responsible of the guy being stabbed that was just ridiculous. He shares the responsibility with him at the least.
And also if Jae Chan killed her while drunk and forgotten abt it then his brother tells him that Seung Ju is the culprit and they are just helping him out with the alibi…he might have believed it and kept asking Seung Ju for $ over the years for granted >.>
Deuk Chan trusted Seung Ju (Do Ha) caz he knew who is the killer and he kept telling his brother that Seung Ju dont owe them anything :X
They've been eating out several times before they directly asked out each other for a date. They've always been straightforward and now that they're officially a couple, they're being openly lovey-dovey to each other. They're both introverts with calm personalities so it's fun to see them becoming brighter, outgoing and even showing their cute sides together. Their chemistry is wonderful and I love how they're giving positive impact to each other. They deserve their happiness especially after what they went through with their exes.
The latest episodes shows us the start of their sweet relationship, but it's just the calm before the storm. I'm nervous for the next episodes and I hope they could stay strong together.
Fun fact: Their scenes while grilling at the camp is actually bloopers but the director must've like their genuine reactions so he included it.
That's why he blames himself for her death. He wishes he'd done more and assumes she committed suicide after that (we still don't know what actually happened) BUT he's not to blame for it. When he left, she was ok. Her wound wasn't life-threatening and he knew that him staying with her then would have continued the self harm cycle because in her mind (hurting herself = him staying).
You don't owe people who threaten you with suicide a relationship.
This drama's another English name is Gardian(which I think it's more proper than Goblin because dokebi is different from western goblin). Kim Shin starts as her gardian, but the way the writer slowly develops their relationship as a couple was convincing for me, so after a few episodes this love line didn't feel so wrong. And when Euntak becomes 29, they are just like a normal couple in 30s. I think someone younger actor in his 20s wouldn't be able to satisfy all those factors. Maybe that's why the writer had convinced Gong Yoo to take the role for 5 years. He is old enough to be a lonely god and young enough to be a playful goblin at the same time, and Kim Go-eun can act from teenager to adult. Although it's not a morally desirable relationship, consiquently it was necessary for the story and even helpful for making an unique chemistry in this fantasy romance.
And about the goblin and reaper, I can't agree with you more!
