It’s an old series but I want to give my two cents after reading through a few comments. This is beating a dead horse but:

Regarding the age issue, I suggest people open their mind and try to process the following:
1. It’s a fantasy genre. (You can’t apply all reality expectations to this. I suggest watching a lot more of these types of genre to grasp an understanding what fantasy means.)
2. ML is an immortal – please take a few hours or more to process what this is and not take this at face value (aka age related). I’m not supporting Pedophile in any shape or form. This show doesn’t even have that element. While FL is not a woman, she is not a kid. I’m not trying to change your view but I do want to say this: the world is not just black and white or a simple straight line. I suggest open up your mind, you might discover something more beautiful.

For those who don’t understand why ML is acting like a teenage boy after he falls in love when he has 900+ years of experience. Have you ever been in love before? Was your rationality intact when falling in love? Do you only watch the series at face value and never bother to understand the plot and why it was such? Although ML is over 900 years old, he has never once experienced love. He was a military man, surrounding himself with male compadres and killings at the battlefield. The only female he had ever seen interacting with was his sister. Even that was not frequent either. His immortality was a blessing and a punishment at the same time; he was not allowed to forget the deaths of loved ones. When such is a case, if you were him, would you go around meeting people so you would be in pain every time they die, leaving you again and again by yourself? No. You would rather not mingle with anyone to avoid that pain. The only people he mingled with for 900+ years were his servants because he needed them (e.g. fake identities, etc.) Involving in romantic love would be the last thing on his mind. However, he did go around to find Goblin’s bride in hope to end this suffering. That doesn’t mean he would go and date all the females to find her. He has the power of touch to see the future, remember?

I do agree that the FL was too quick to accept being the Goblin’s bride, but if you look deep into the storyline, you would see that the FL wanted to have a sense of belonging and protection. She felt that from the ML. Her mom died when she was very young. No one needed her. Living with a not-loving aunt family surely didn’t help either. She was simply having a school crush on a handsome man. Her attitude was rather shallow at the beginning. She was using him to get away from her difficult life situation because she knew he was rich, powerful and needed her, and there were no consequences of being a Goblin’s Bride. She could help him remove the blade to make him “pretty” and get a return on investment at the same time. It was not a bad deal. He was her easy solution.

Don’t you have a period in your life where you wish prince charming on a white horse was real? Her “I love you and I want to be your bride” was not sincere until much later when such crush slowly became love (hence, the reason why she could not grab the sword the first time was because their feelings were not yet considered as sincere love.) She was basically playing with fire. All that said, I was rather annoyed with some of her over-the-top actions which some people called childish.

I was not expecting to see so much homophobic comments in this movie....Jesus this is wild.
I really thought that Kdrama/kmovie communities were more open minded, but this is really my first time seeing this many hate comments about two women kissing in my 3,5 years of kdramaland.

And the fact that i saw so many comments on here and twitter and also the place i watched the movie with questionable idols as their profiles that i bet my life they are getting railed from behind in the club's bathroom.

And if you are a homophobic heterosexual just want you to know that i do not support your life style, and you should do better.
Dont be proud that you can procreate in this day and age, having a child now with all the messed up politics and climate change is dumb.
If you want to do better i advised you to do some "scissoring" or some "needle work"

After watching single inferno i got curious to one of the commentator and found her in this drama finish watching…
Search: WWW is my favorite role of hers. She manages to be everything from cool to quirky, confident to cutely blushing, and is an unapologetic fangirl but simultaneously a total boss, an absolutely charming, endearing, sweet-funny-tender powerhouse you want as your best friend. She has the best chemistry with just about any and everyone whether she's playing their bestie, lover, crush, brokenhearted ex, boss, subordinate... doesn't matter if the costar is a kiddo, is 20, 40, 60, or 80... she's kind of magical. :)

Hmm idk about this one. It was good but I felt like something was missing. Almost everything about the premise reminds me of Bulgasal but the pacing here isn't as good. So much is happening while nothing is really happening? I really can't word this properly but this had the chance of being great but it (so far) wasn't.

That moment when Ji Hee thinks that she is not getting pregnant because she was a prostitute in the past... *SIGH*.…
I feel that it didn't shame her but showed her worry as this line of work also has its dangers.. from unwanted pregnancies that lead to abortion which could make you then not able to conceive or use of birth control or even the danger of STDs and so on.. Also I apologise but I don't get your point about JW not being able to get drunk.. his power is regeneration so to me it makes sense that he can't get drunk - his liver can't be damaged and the metabolising of the alcohol doesn't cause drunkenness... so it goes in line with his power and going from that logic then his sperm count should be fine as well..
This tbh leads me to have the theory that the amount of stress that she's been through - the worry that her past job might be the reason she can't get pregnant and further the fact that she was worried to tell her concerns to JW were the big factors. And I'm actually glad it showed that being able to communicate with your partner is very important..

She was probably on birth control pills for a long time and one of the side effects is delayed pregnancy. I was…
I think what she assumed about her past getting in the way of her pregnancy is quite normal. She is a human after all. But I think Joo Won is at fault here. His ignorance is what made her feel left out. He should have noticed how lonely she was. He should have talked to her.

I think it's actually the opposite. The show is pointing out that it doesn't matter what you've done in your past to survive. You are worthy to live and be loved. Their whole storyline centers around their internal struggle with their past/present selves ,and once they open up to each other they can overcome that shame and stigma.
They've never seen each other as less than worthy of love/happiness, but they have thought about themselves like that. He seems himself as a monster and murderer, she sees a hulk, hero and savior. She sees herself as a less than because of having to sell herself, he sees a kind and strong woman, a survivor, and someone worthy of his respect.

She was probably on birth control pills for a long time and one of the side effects is delayed pregnancy. I was sad to see her faking a smile every time Joo Won left for work. She should have just told him about wanting a baby. We saw how he cried after hearing that. He was sad to her suffer alone. In next scene BAAAAM!!! a baby. How it happened: BY TALKING TO YOUR PARTNER. That's the key. Any couple can go through hard times when they are together not but when they are alone.

Honestly the scene made me sad. I did not take it like a message to shame women who resorted to prostitution. It made me sad because I had the feeling, she thought she was doomed because she once was a "sinner". It is a wrong thinking she had.

Or maybe it was worse... her life as a woman providing special services to men led her to abortion because she became pregnant from clients who coerced or forced her to do it without condom. And it damaged her body. That still happens in 2023.

This scene underlined sad situations the women who resort to prostitution sometimes meet. It did not make me judge her as guilty of anything. I just felt her distress.

As for the man, he is supposed to be a super strong man with super strong spermatozoids.

This season is so much deeper than the last. The plot is just a decoy; behind it is a deep reflection on life,…
This drama also does such a good job at hiding symbolism, I just noticed how the people who stayed behind in borderland where people who aimed for control and domination meanwhile the ones that went back were willing to face the uncertainty of their life. So no matter how many times some characters where deathly injured they still wouldn’t die, because their will to live was too strong. And when the face cards leaders died they all said that they were glad to be finally free. I believe that when they accepted their citizenship to borderland they all had plans of grandeur and domination but deep down after a while they realized they weren’t as free as they thought.

There was no badly written character because every character embodied a thought provoking existential question. This is really about letting go of control and fear to face the hardest game of all, that is life.

This season is so much deeper than the last. The plot is just a decoy; behind it is a deep reflection on life, strength, perseverance, our existence and free will. I had to stop a few times to reflect on life and my existence as a player. I feel so bad for anti intellectual surface level watchers who can't see past the story and dialogues. Some will even say the dialogues are superficial, but I think they're only superficial if you want them to be. This is the kind of drama that I would encourage watchers to consume with introspection.

Why are you here? What is real? What keeps you alive? curiosity? spite? hope? do you even neec a reason? Why are you still playing? Where do you get your strength? What does it mean to be real, to be a human? is your existence fair? Why do you hate life/yourself? What's the value of a life? How valuable is yours?

This dramas raises alot of questions that will never get old, and for once instead of making you depressed afterwards it revives your will to exist, to fight and persevere.
