Exactly my take from this. People expected way too much from a Ro-Co story wise. Base story was simple but production…
Aside from not fleshing out ML backstory, the issue with not having families involved would have been fine if the workplace rivalry and the webtoon world was explored thoroughly instead of the surface level stuff we got. "Today's Webtoon" is a perfect example of that. Like relying heavily on AI stuff and JISOO's acting to carry the narrative was the main misstep. That would have shielded JISOO from criticism too as she had to carry the whole show and her acting was average at best (Her best scene were her broken English comedy, which shows how limited she is). Seo InGuk carried the 2nd half of the show even with such a limited character. If he was given more of the burden to carry the show then this would have hit at least 8.3 rating instead of the below 8 it has now.
Doom at your service is the perfect example, that show was FL centric too and even though the script was slightly weak in terms of main plot line, Seo In Guk's Doom character was given ample backstory, motivations, character growth etc. that the show ended up as a cult classic internationally even with average ratings in Korea.
Again, it's very cute and light hearted, which makes it a good show for when you want something fluffy to unwind.…
Exactly my take from this. People expected way too much from a Ro-Co story wise. Base story was simple but production was great and Seo Inguk was amazing. Not every Ro-Co can be 10/10 like "Can This Love be Translated?". And even that became a bit more Melo-Ro-Co which deepened the plotline. I think my biggest concern was family of both FML and ML being non-existent and they didn't give Seo any relationships outside work or liking the FML in secret. If they explored Gyeong Nam's personal life before and showed his dynamic with people outside of work (like family or friends) this would have created a better foundation for the romance. At least they gave FML a best friend and a backstory of previous relationship but did nothing for Gyeong Nam.
her acting was really disappointing, basically no chemistry the whole drama was the simulation games and the actual…
She isn't going to win any awards but it wasn't bad either. Maybe because I went in with low expectations that I was pleasantly surprised. As a fan of Seo In Guk, it was lovely to see him in a Ro-CO
I almost didn’t watch this drama at all because the lead is a K-pop idol. After watching the first two episodes…
It's okay, even with limited screen time and restricted male lead personality Seo In Guk was able to carry the show and chemistry with Jisoo with his acting, especially in the 2nd half. Oh and 2nd FML is awesome and Hilarious. I sometimes even wished that she was the actual FML :D
should i watch it?? from the edits ive seen it looks fun and cute but i hope its not a kdrama makes u wanna drop…
If you like the premise and like the leads it will keep you hooked. And it's 10 episodes so they didn't drag anything. I do wish they explored the webtoon world and its intricacies a bit more other then "Oh my Author is always late on deadline" thing. If it balanced the romance and AR stuff with their webtoon rivalry and the business in General it would have been even better. I am talking about stuff like in the show "Today's Webtoon". Even with such a restricting Male lead Seo In Guk Manages to showcase his acting skills and Jisoo's performance was good too. And I did genuinely laugh a few times as well.
I just started Death's Game Part 2 and it's gritty and violent and bloody and all his character is swinging a…
Yeah I became his fan from Deathgame. Bro doesn't farm Aura, he is Aura. Watched Crazy Love and Her Private life because of him. I am hesitant to watch him in Support roles because Kim Seon Ho gave me severe 2nd lead syndrome cuz of Strongest Delivery Man and Start Up.
the drama was fantastic. Granted it was a very very deep society analysis that isn't everyone's preference. It…
bro I have literally seen u shitting on actors and shows that haven't even premiered yet. Even without watching the show I know the other guy is right and your opinion is trash.
since when was it normal to comment on ppls appearances this easily 😀
My bad. That wasn't about the actor. It's the character that doesn't have the right vibe for me from comments, synopsis and random clips I saw. That's why I asked whether the ML is annoying or not.
This drama is romantic but at the same time it's not. Idk how to explain,so it focuses more on the war and the…
I am at the end of E7 and FL is annoying the shit out of me. She went through that entire harrowing experience, calling ML "husband", missing him, to going back to pining for SML and trashing ML even though ML went to hell and back for her and her knowing about it. Also I love ML but he needs to stop being a simp for even slightest of interest.
Good Drama. Kind of like Dexter. Some scenes dragged a little and there are a few plot holes and execution errors but if u are hooked/love eye for an eye u will love it. FML carries it to 9/10 because even with the slight inconsistencies the show doesn't get boring because of her.
Doom at your service is the perfect example, that show was FL centric too and even though the script was slightly weak in terms of main plot line, Seo In Guk's Doom character was given ample backstory, motivations, character growth etc. that the show ended up as a cult classic internationally even with average ratings in Korea.
