I find CGI is good enough. Probably comparable to AOL, ALP and any other recent Xianxia which good enough. Unless if you think those are also ugly. Also it still too early to tell about storyline but I enjoyed it so far.

Novel timeline is completely different. Yan Dan and Ying Yuan story told as flashback later. Honestly it is unnecessary reading novel cause they made drastic changes and add so many new things in drama.

Yan Dan force feed Ying Yuan while Marshal already know their trick and keep bothering them. So funny :D

I think it possible CY will use his own voice as Tang Zhou. In trailer, he use his own voice when play Tang Zhou but dubbed when play Ying Yuan. finger crossed

Kdrama and Dorama have shorter episode. It mostly 20 or less. So they need cramp everything. In Cdrama, conflict usually start at episode 20th ish but that entirely of Kdrama / Dorama.

I like it so far but again everyone have their own preference. If you like Ashes of Love, you most likely will like it IMO.
