I'd say give it a shot. I ended up liking it but there were a few bumps in the story which were not explained well. Overall, I enjoyed it but the bromance and mystery portion is what kept me going though.

Awww. That's ok. I understand it may not be everyone's cup of tea. It did get better in certain aspects for me like the bromance but for sure some things were confusing.

YESSS!!! That scene was the one that had me speechless. Not what I was expecting at all. I was so disappointed they did that to Robin but he nailed the emotions there. I'm a ZZT fan and was so excited to see him in this drama for the romance side but he amazed me more in other aspects. Makes me more excited to see him in his other dramas.

I'm eagerly waiting for the "we're not alone" verse OST! That one always gets me.

Definitely agree! I'm team Luo Bin. LOL. Though there were some points in the story where his character had me really eye rolling. His character was the one I can resonate more with and has a better flow from beginning to end. HCF had some strong points too but I felt like they mixed up a bit too much info for HCF's character and at the end ultimately still somehow indirectly all fingers pointed back at him. *Sigh* I couldn't agree more with what you said about everyone leaving. The ending was a big miss for all of the good buildup. But then again, I still somehow liked it enough to feel good about the show.
Yeah those girls storyline or purpose was a miss. Especially for Xiao An. I'm still mad at how her and Luo Bin "got together". Her returning after leaving him in shock just left a bad taste in my mouth. She came right back in like nothing happened and Robin continued on again like before... 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️I was excited for their story but that part definitely killed the mood. I just threw reasoning out the door to continue their story line. Haha. It was always team bromance from the start to end!
The overdramatic villian part has me laughing too hard. That was my exact thoughts. I was like wait, that's it? How petty haha.
I'm still waiting for the English OST to release. 😭😭

It's Ep.17 for 1st couple and 2nd couple don't officiate it but I guess you could say Ep. 26? Their situation was complicated.

Yeah the 1st 2 trailers definitely made it seem like a rom-com but I think it might be marketing strategy. I for one was patiently waiting since I was expecting some light hearted show but this worked out for me too. I was big on the bromance instead so I'm glad it still somewhat turned out good.

Yeah a lot of dramas lately have been getting cut. I'm not too sure if it did happen to this one but I didn't feel rushed but instead it was choppy. It was a lot of telling instead of showing by the end which is why I was surprised. Really thought it would end with all of them all together without the jail part.

Yes. The last 4 episodes were a lot too take in. It was a crunch but somehow still wrapped up lol. I did a more extensive review in the review section but wanted to make a comment about the last 2.

Don't normally do reviews but had to share one above for this drama. Definitely a bittersweet ending. Not the best but also not the worst in terms of story and acting. It was worth the 2-ish year wait. It's something different and I hope to see Bi Wenjun and Zhu Zhengting in more roles like this. The last 2 episodes had me in a mess due to some clarity issues but being a shipper of the bromance, that was hard to watch. What a journey for this show and some twists I was not expecting. Hoping all future viewers who tune in enjoy it to some extent! I may have yelled at the screen a few times (haha) but do not regret watching it.

He definitely was! I just recently finished and am still trying to wrap my head around it. You were definitely right about the bittersweet ending. It was still not the route I was expecting but definitely a decent wrap up. Still sad about Robin though. I stan his character all the way to the end.

Same here! I know we ranted a few but even til the end I'd say this was a nice hidden gem of a watch.

Eagerly waiting for the last 2 episodes. My opinion may differ but these last 2 episodes just wow! So much going on it's a whirlwind of emotions. I have no idea how HCF is dealing with both situations in a day. How exhausting! He's doing well trying to emote his hurt and anger. *whew*
Some points are still a bit messy but glad to see Robin and HCF back! All the bad characters are so lame lol. I love that the show is being realistic showing how bad at fighting everyone is. It's nice to see that everyone is trying to fight but really can't or aren't strong enough to do so. It's quite funny actually.

I came in for both ML's lol and some romance since this was filmed back when they were still new to acting. But I wasn't expecting a lot of the darker mystery tone since the 1st trailer didn't make it seem like it either. However, I agree! The mystery part has me going forward more. It's not the best but for a new writer and this style of genre, I find it ok. Plus, the dynamic of both ML's background story is more interesting to me.

I'm up to that point to in the story and yeah... I don't know if it's because the show is focusing more on both ML's plot or what but its not going anywhere for SY in girlfriend mode. However, it'll be much less of a hassle if the show didn't try to focus on many subplots as well. The balance isn't quite there anymore. They spent first half trying to show us the romance build-up and then bam full focus on the mystery part. It lost flow.
