That's good. I was just curious. I started a few of the beginning chapters and could feel the complexity of the story which was more to my liking. Regardless of the ending, if the story can build up with all the complexities, I'd still continue.

I'm fine with that! Lol. After cringing so hard these few episodes with the fake DZY, I need some real DZY to come into play.

Quite a fair split. I'm probably around the same. I want to see how he'll be turning things around now that the truth is out. And wow! I never thought about that but Wen Shuo and Mo Shuang would make a cute pairing. 💖

Haha. I normally don't want lots of angst but I concur. This is a revenge drama or so it says so I was expecting some. How do you revenge without angst?

🙋‍♀️ I thought it was such a rare genuine moment. It was a real father son moment not Emperor and prince formality. Han Ye even addressed himself as son for the first time in front of the emperor. 💖

Which is quite sad. It had so much potential.

That's right! Which is why I'm excited to see how he turns things around. All 3 options have a setback. We sort of know endgame but I'd still love how he plans things out. That'd seal the deal for me on Han Ye.

Some more thoughts of Ep.19:

Anle: "In the past he had eyes for the Jing state, his subjects, and Di Ziyuan. But today, he only had eyes for me." Damn that cut deep. 🥺🥺

I'm sorry but I can't stop laughing at the fake DZY getting stabbed. It looked so fake it had me ROFL. 😂😂

Keeping a close eye on empress dowager. She's another piece coming in from left field. 🤔 That includes the Mo siblings too.

Finally! Despite the repetitive nuisances and lines, today's episode was not as annoying. I actually enjoyed this episode. It's starting to finally feel like it's picking up again. All the chess pieces are starting to make their own moves which coincidentally, has helped eat a chess piece (Marquis Zhongyi) In the beginning, I was confused since I'm not a chess player whatsoever but I'm starting to think, I really should learn.

All I can say is, Han Ye is a very calculated person making it seem like he doesn't do much but this episode is finally giving him some traction. He's been investigating and planning in secrecy and I hope everything he's doing comes to fruition with satisfactory effect or else, I'd be super disappointed. He's made a few mistakes already hence the regret of the fake DZY being Crown Princess so it'd be great to see how he turns it around.

But I can't deny that the last few episodes were draggy. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like the writers had no idea what to do so we had some filler episodes with the characters moping around as we wait for any news of their investigations to get back. Kind of like when you're downloading a huge program and you work on something else while waiting for it to finish.

Anyways, looks like ep.20 and 21 are promising! So satisfying to see ANle tell fake DZY off. She did not just tell Anle to back off Crown Prince... good thing he pranced away with Anle lol.

I was most excited to see Anle finally tell fake DZY off. Someone finally did it. Best part is seeing Han Ye prance away with Anle.

Either the script writers were lazy or had too many ideas and didn't figure out how to execute a good story flow. But I agree! I'm sort of similar to Han Ye when it comes to planning things. So I still take a liking to his character. I just wish to see more of his oomph because these side characters are making us lose interest on the real deal.

That's true. But no one else on his side knows she's a fake so they expect him to be happy since he's been constantly pining for it. Regrets indeed for Han Ye.

With the amount of baths she took, she could have put that fire out.

And hopefully do justice to these characters and their initial descriptions.

THIS! That's an awesome novel Han Ye. If the 2nd half of the show can deliver, it'd be worth the wait.

I'm kind of like Han Ye too so I can understand him. I'm just too impatient lol but I like that he's cautious. We're gonna need a big mic drop moment.
