I would highly recommend GTG, it gave me the same ache of shipping two lovers who weren't meant to be together but still fought against the odds T_T. Zhou Yiran's character is also a heavy yearner just like Lu Xixiao except he is more of a red flag but its ok I'm colourblinddd.

I'm not sure what it is but I could never finish a modern chinese drama but can easily breeze through the historical ones with 40+ episodes. The only modern cdrama I ever managed to finish was Shine on Me and I was surprised because plot wise there wasn't much going on haha. But even the super popular ones like hidden love, first frost, When I fly towards you or even a love so beautiful I couldn't finish more than 10 episodes. This one is definitely becoming one of my tops for sure.

I actually put ATC on pause just for this show because I kept seeing so many edits of them. My last obsession was actually Zhou Yi Ran x Bao Shang En in GTG so this is a treat for me with same fl

I think she's just specifically targeting Lu Zhongyue which is why she went to the aunt to make a deal. After all they're still fighting for the chairman position i think

Also can we talk about how brutal that breakup was. LIKE WHAT WAS THAT. Lu xixiao thinking they were just playing hide and seek and zhou wan saying the most mean and hurtful thing while hiding then running away. Then xixiao schizophrenically dancing all by himself imagining her with him while their friends watched. I can't. I need them to make up asap T_T

i'm so obsessed with this CP. I normally don't watch modern chinese dramas but this one had me HOOOKED. Their chemistry, their love story, the angst ahh. Only 7 episodes left, how am I supposed to move on from this

Whatt. I really loved his styling for chang ning, he looked so handsome. But i agree his mu qingyan styling is top tier ✨️

Same ive started like 3 dramas including Pursuit of Jade but maybe i got spoiled by the fast pacing of this drama i felt like POJ was too slow. Barely anything major happened for 14 episodes so i got bored. 😪

Finally got around to finishing the show and I'm going to miss it a lot. Even though it was a happy ending I still cried like a baby the whole time. (tears of joy though of course). I loved the cast very much and especially our main leads, Bao Shang en and Zhou Yiran who did an awesome job. Hope to see them in more dramas in the future. Sad to be saying good bye to Jianghu :,(

Yea just judging from the reviews, youll either love it or hate it haha. The lowest ratings are from people who barely made it past 10 episodes tho so its kinda sad they didnt give it a fair chance

Its sad cuz theyre all on the first page so newer viewers will see it and feel discouraged. Its why i suggest upvoting the positive ones (if you agree with them) so more people can see. I know its not the greatest production ever but its definitely not worth the low ratings. Such harsh critics and in my opinion not deserving. Ive watched many dramas and dropped many but this one managed to make me stay to the end 🤷‍♀️

I also hope they reunite for another costume drama or modern. Their chemistry is just 🔥. I never got around to 'watching when i fly towards you' so maybe ill watch that after this to continue seeing yiran

That totally make sense and honestly im kinda upset they nerfed him so much. Ive heard others say he was very strong in the novel but in the drama they made him appear weaker and almost always needing the female lead to save him. I wonder if they did that to make zhaozhao more powerful?

Mu Qingyan is definitely a guilty please to watch because had it been anyone else other than yiran acting as him, I might have had a different opinion. Maybe would have scrutinized him more! But Yiran played the part so well, how could i find fault when he has such pitiful puppy eyes and shameless pouting towards the female leads. Aside from his calculative and manipulative side, he is such a golden retriever and green flag for being so gentle and an awesome cook towards our female lead hehe

Im reluctant to finish the rest of the episodes because it would mean saying good bye to my fav characters 😭

I saw that Yiran will have another historical drama released soon in May and his styling looked hot especially his little ear peircing. 😏 hope its a good watch like this one

Yess you worded it better than me. His desperation to be with her fueled him to quickly find the one scheming behind the scenes. Without resolving the main issue at hand, he wont be able to get her parents and friends approval for marriage because they think him and his sect are responsi le for the evildoings. So he has to essential play the "bad guy" in order to reveal the truth.

Im assuming youre talking about the 1 year break up they had and how he acted like he didn't care for her anymore? It did seem out of character for him considering how obsessive he is towards her but i think that may have been weak scriptwriting to blame. They had a pretty clean break up with her telling him how much she loves him but can't leave her family and sect behind to be with him. He probably understood then that he couldn't stop her from leaving. I guess his little "I dont care about her anymore" was just his coping mechanism to get back on track with his original plan. They both needed time away to focus on themselves.

Even though he tried to act like strangers when he met her again (i guess to make her jealous or guilty for leaving him?) , he quickly switches up and protects her even though shes stabbing him in the chest and protecting his rivalry in love (yuzhi lol) . His pretend act quickly falls and everyone knows including his 2 sidekicks that he still loves her.
