is "Lord Seventh" recquired reading in order to get a grab of the actual relationship between the Prince Jin and…
Yeah, Lord Seventh is a danmei HE story. SPOILERS:
At the start, Lord Seventh is on his 7th reincarnation (the Prince is a friend-turned-paranoid-Emperor enemy who poisoned Lord Seventh in his 1st reincarnation. Lord Seventh and the Prince were supposed to have 7 happy lifetimes, but it instead turned into 7 lifetimes of enmity by accident).
Lord Seventh is suddenly sent back to his first reincarnation as a youth, except he has all his memories. Lord Seventh and ZZS are 2 peas in a pod - master schemers helping the Prince vie for the throne.
With his foreknowledge, Lord Seventh eventually escapes from the Prince-turned-paranoid-Emperor and ends up lovey-dovey with his Shaman. Which I guess is where the story intersects years later with Faraway Wanderers/WoH/TYK.
Thanks for sharing. I was laughing so hard at 18:00 when those two were singing. One youtube reviewer wrote that ZZH is ranked #7 at Fight the Landlord Poker game in China and is very smart and strategic, so he was helping GJ. They were a lot of fun to watch.
If anyone finds the english subbed video for the Happy Camp episode, could you add the link? I just watched the english subbed Happy Camp video for the two ML from Word of Honour, and at the end, there was a preview of an episode that had Zhang Bin Bin and Sally Jing, the leads from The Sword and the Brocade, and another pair I didn't recognize. The preview is around 1:25 at the end of this WoH Happy Camp episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHpk18A9DN8 and it took me a while to recognize Zhang Bin Bin and Sally Jing in their costumes. Thanks!

Good to know. I was going to watch with my little kids, but not if the drama introduces the FL's great loving family, then kills them all off midway. We are at the point where the new leader is chosen and everyone is doing well in the story. We'll move on to something else then.
1. Concubinage is bad. 2. Married monogamy is good. 3. Sisters are good. 4. Yes, the drama should be called how to lose all your concubines once you have a good wife. 5. I enjoyed the drama, the acting, the lighting, the costumes, the voice acting, the beautiful skin and makeup. 6. Divorce Agreement should not have shown up in 4 different plot lines. 7. Entire drama was good in 45 episodes, but would have been even better in 30 episodes.
Oh good, they out schemed the villains. It was getting scary/disgusting with the whole concubine/betrayal thing. So nice to see the ML and FL were in the know and counterattacked!
Watched Nirvana in Fire for the second time, and it was even better than the first time. Now that I understand…
Plot: 13 years ago, the powerful, paranoid, ruthless Emperor massacred outstanding generals, his own relatives, and an entire army under the excuse of treason. The MC escaped but was heavily injured/changed in the process. In the first episode, the unrecognizable MC returns with new identities to get his revenge/justice. As his plotting unfolds, smaller villains fall. From episode 20 onwards, larger villains get knocked down in order. Finally, only the biggest, most powerful villain, the ruthless paranoid Emperor, is left to tackle, and the MC has a solid cast of allies to help him.
Watched Nirvana in Fire for the second time, and it was even better than the first time. Now that I understand everyone's roles, the intricate scheming, and the close relationships, binging the drama for hours at a time made it more enjoyable. The soundtrack is really well done, very tense and valiant at times. The scenes with all the horses were impressive - how do they manage all of them for filming? Everyone acted well, I never felt like anyone was over-acting. There's some serious bromancing between the MC and Prince Jing; Commander Meng; Jianghua master Lin Chen; and his childhood friend/fiancee/valiant general Princess Nihuang. Now I need to watch Nirvana in Fire 2 while I still remember everyone.
Qiu Yue Jian is the title, literally means Autumn Moon Sword. Zhang Yu Sen is his name. In the Wu Xia world, nearly…
Thanks, that's so helpful.. So famous martial artists have their personal name, their courtesy name, their title, and the name of their sword - so much for a reader/viewer to remember... Like in the Untamed, it's Wei Ying, Wei Wuxian, Yiling Patriarch, and Whatever (Subian) Sword. So confusing to me at first.
Random thought on rewatching episodes 20-24: MC's most touching scenes are with Prince Jing and/or Princess Ni Huang, because they were closest to him before his "death" in the army. There's a lot of chemistry/tension/grief/beautiful violin (sentimental) or trumpet (valiant) music during their most emotional scenes. The music is super poignant.
This is a "low budget" drama? Everything is so gorgeously done, the action sequences are so good, and the actors seem very experienced - I can't tell that it's "low budget" at all!
are there any love triangles or misunderstandings like something annoying with the main leads ?
The only misunderstandings are due to the MC's different identities. Those who know/discover his original identity (long dead valiant general) will trust him absolutely. Those who think he is only the Jingzhou (?) Alliance Chief (scheming advisor to royals) will treat him like a golden statue (who can get them the throne) or a snake (fearful of his schemes). His revenge is so overwhelming, his sickness so prolonged, that there is simply no room for a decent love triangle.
