ok, but this show has always been a little campy, so the whole amnesia/personality change kind of fits with the general it's-so-bad-it's-good vibe of the show. Rather wish the "mean Bamee" plot line was limited to a single episode though, cos i jst felt bad for everyone in his life 😅 I'll def be finishing it, which i dont say for every show!
The episode was ok, but what i liked about MSP was the energy from the characters and their personalities. They swapped the roles here, but they also modified their personalities and the show felt so toned down. Maybe because Gun and his friendship group were so hyped up in MSP and here he was more subdued? I did enjoy the TiwPor scenes though, it gave the audience what we wanted there :) i dont really think we'll get a second season, so it would have been nice to cap off the series with what happened after high school.
I'm still enjoying the series, but i have to say the accidental post in the group chat had me running out of the room because of secondhand embarrassment! Regarding Pat, i'm still liking him. I feel that maybe rather than immature, he's probably just not grown a thick skin to criticism yet. It takes time, experience getting criticised, and maybe a bit of advice from older colleagues to teach people how to take criticism. Agree it's a little slow to get to the romance between the main pairing, but i dont mind it yet, tbh. I do feel they're getting closer in this episode and we still have 8 episodes to go!
ok so we can agree that pat is inmature and not very likeable, and jeng hasnt done or said basically anything…
i can see Jeng liking Pat, bc he said he only gets approached by ppl trying to use him or who arent honest. Say what you like about Pat, but at least he's open about how he feels (maybe too much, haha), so i'm guessing that's what attracts Jeng
This and the prequel were great! Can't believe i've never seen it! Read the manga ages ago, and they did such a good job adapting the source material. Acting was great, and i agree the hair was distracting sometimes, but i'll forgive that since it was so lovely a watch. I liked the slowness. Unlike how it's used in some dramas, here it always served a purpose depending on the situation. Sometimes it was slow to emphasise a calm relaxed mood between the characters, other times the slowness worked to increase the tension (either anxiety or sexual tension). Highly recommend, wish there was a third movie.
Only on episode 4 and this is really rough watching, I just feel so bad for the FL! Only reason i can't stop is bc I really love Cha Sueng Won, and Gong Hyo Jin is great here too. There's all these genuinely hilarious scenes, but then something really shitty happens to the FL to kill my happy glow. Sigh, luckily she's pretty resilient, i'd have crumbled into dust in her place
Hmm, it's definitely dated and of it's time. Might not be for everybody, so be warned i guess. I made the mistake of watching it on VIKI with the comments turned on. Boy, ppl were pretty harsh on the FL. Not sure if i'll continue it to the end, but Son Ye Jin is doing a good job and Min Ho is at his cutest, so who knows.
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
yeah, i think that's probably true. It was clear from how he first responded by accusing/blaming his mum for the divorce, that he got along better with his dad
My theory is that Tai has the same condition as his father and it looks like he understands better than others…
I dont think Tai knew he had the condition when he first heard about his parent's divorce, i think that was the first time he experienced the hearing loss bc it was his 20th birthday? i could be wrong. What you suggested might be why he still struggles years later though, hard to say. I think both soulmates are supposed to have the same condition, which is why the baristas knew that the deaf male customer and his girlfriend werent soulmates, bc he couldnt hear her and her hearing was ok.
Quite enjoying this so far, I really like the fantasy concept. I'm also glad they had the whole "eavesdropping on the kissing" thing early, because it's definitely where my mind went when they first introduced the idea. Though what came to mind wasnt as PG13 as that. How awks! Even if they're not your soulmate...
Ep 4 was a big improvement - mostly because there was no Raynold Tan trying to be a bad boy. He's got smoldering…
I agree about Nikko. He could be quite charming, especially during the quieter moments when he was mentoring Eli or when they were getting to know each other.
I dont think this was that bad, considering, i've definitely seen worse. It probably needs better direction and editing to smooth out/cut the cringier scenes. Nikko was a bit much in the first two eps, but i think his acting improves and becomes a little more natural in the 3rd eps. The same for Eli, they both seemed to settle down a bit. Like for some other ppl, the neck tats took me aback a bit at first, but if anything it made me think that this story would have been better placed in university rather than high school. There were times when the character interactions looked like those between 20-somethings than highschoolers.
I enjoyed this! I read the manga a looooong time ago, and it was never exactly my favourite, but i thought the leads did a great job portraying the characters and had a lot of charm. Side-characters were well played too, mostly quite likeable, and they all matched my memory of them from the manga.
Haram is so annoying and unhinged I kind of love him. I'm interested to see how the obsession elements pan out.…
you know, what you said now makes me really hope they do go down the path of unhinged/obsession with the junior. That would actually make it pretty interesting to watch!
I still don't understand why a "strong female character" is portayed as a slut who sleeps around with half of…
I dont think most (or any?) people are saying she's strong bc she's sexually active, that would be a weird reading of the character. I think most people mean she's a strong female character because of the fact that she had a strong sense of justice, and strove hard to improve her herself (both physically and intellectually) from when she was a young child.
This was so much fun to watch! i loved that the FL had had a normal sexual past that she wasnt ashamed of, and that the ML saw it as normal. Everyone else saw it as shameful, but i think that is probably because of who the ML is, and the toxic male newsanchors were sadly realistic chauvanists you see in the media everywhere. I really liked that the ML recognised that she was a unique and totally awesome badass woman for all her talents, and that her strong personality was what drew him to her. Lots of LOLs, and really satisfying when she kicked butt.
I'll def be finishing it, which i dont say for every show!
