Jst finished eps two, and i'm looking forward to eps 3! I think this one went at a better pace than the first, or maybe i jst liked that we had so much screentime with Charn and Tin. Definite Lakorn vibes, so if crazy eyes and consecutive bitch slaps isnt to your taste it could be a struggle π
Well I think the chemistry between Charn and Tin make up for a lot of the shows ills.In fact, Charn is such a…
yeah, totally agree, i think Film is crushing it. It's so different to his sweet character in To Sir With Love that it's great to see him going all out manic. Also, the eyes Charn makes at Tin is mesmerising, i really hope it doesnt stay PG for too long π
i dont know, i'm straight up enjoying this! I like that it's pretty extra, and i dont mind the awks. I think both Punn is growing on me as he's pretty cute as a character in his fanboying and Ashi is hot asf π€·π½ββοΈ
I dont think the character is nonsense, I like a slow burn, and i dont have an issue with his reaction as subordinate…
yeah, I understand all that, and I don't fault his character or think he's been ooc. My reservations are that the last two episodes didn't build on the very early promis. I'm convinced on him having a lot on his mind and complex feelings about people in his life, including jeng, but I just haven't felt that his character is feeling that way inclined towards him. At best, a slight crush bc jeng had been a great mentor? Which is why I'm wondering how they'll turn things around quickly, but who knows, I'll wait and see. βΊοΈ The previews could be wrong and it won't happen that quickly
I find it interesting to read negative comments about Pat. How is Pat's character nonsense? Who would want to…
I dont think the character is nonsense, I like a slow burn, and i dont have an issue with his reaction as subordinate to a boss. Totally understandable, that's how i would react for sure if it was a boss of mine. I genuinely felt he was uncomfortable with Jeng and how inappropriate it all is. And nothing else. But where i struggle is that even in a slow burn you generally want to leave a trail or sprinkling of potentiality, letting the tension build a little to indicate that romance is coming at some point. But in this episode (9 of 12) there was nothing building between except discomfort, and it felt like they were going backwards a little bit. I'm curious to see how they'll manage to turn all this around (in a believable way) next week if the previews are to be believed. Bc if I felt that uncomfortable with my boss getting close, i'm unlikely to fall in love with him that quickly π€·π½ββοΈ
I so wish we got Pat's reaction to Jeng's text. I mean, "It makes sense to me" is the most romantic shit Jeng's…
i'm clearly aromantic, bc i had no idea what he was talking about. I was left going, "what makes sense..?" i'd long forgotten that conversation haha If i got that message from someone, i'd think it'd gone into the wrong chat ππ
hmm, i was fine with the various discussions they had, but my biggest gripe with this episode is that not a lot happened to push the plot forward. There was a lot of fillery content π All we got was confirmation now that Lomfon can hear them both, unless i missed something else...
So far it's on point when it comes to the comic, but with the short run time and the slow burn nature of the relationship in the comic, i wonder how far this will get if it continues at this pace? I'm still enjoying it though, since i like the visuals ππ
hmm, unfortunate last two episodes for sure. The intensity and tension between them that was present in the first 6 episodes just dropped off a cliff... So many odd cuts as well in these episodes, e.g., hard to believe they couldnt have added a 5 second scene of him coming across yoon jae after his running around. Not sure what happened here
The push and pulllll. This is real life for me. Yaβll hate the drama, but this 100% happens. Iβm really enjoying…
Totally! If you dont like drama and then dont watch Dramas, haha. On a slightly more serious note, this has some of my fave tropes without feeling like the angst is unrealistic or manufactured, plus all that UST! What's not to love?! Fingers crossed for a good finale to cap it all off.
I was a bit conf with Pie's character, was that the same guy who was in that scene with a girl beside the pool eating dessert, or was he a different actor? And was that also the same girl in the bedroom crying over a photo? I enjoyed the interaction of the cafe lady with Pie as it jst made me LOL. I think i'm jst taking her character as comedy relief from the spiraling stress of the Thana/Patis couple and their toxic friends π π
does anyone else fast forward all the cooking scenes in BL's or is it just me ?
Depends on the show and how they're filmed. Some are really lovely to watch, almost like ASMR. In this show, it feels like when they're cooking is one of the few times when there's no misunderstandings and there's some comminucation, so i dont skip them.
The fact that yukata misunderstood his bother is so unfortunate. I mean itβs not his fault tho it was obvious…
yeah, you're right. I dont mind the quick resolution really, just it's execution. i jst wish they'd had the brother explain where he was coming from and apologise, and leave it at that. I didnt like that the show had the brother shift blame onto Yutaka as a child, but perhaps that's something lost in translation
these two are giving me a horrible headacheit was good in the beginning and i really enjoyed it but OF COURSE…
I'm with you on this. I want to like it but most of it is so formulaic that we could see a dreaded misunderstanding coming a mile away. When it actually happened it was jst depressing. Re the girl, at least when she's around there's going to be plot, currently i'm struggling to see their relationship as anything but stagnant. She's obv going to be required to get them to move their asses
βForgiveness is healing... especially forgiving yourself.β β Alyson Noel, EvermoreI really don't think that…
yeah, i agree. The conversation was necessary, but ultimately a little unsatisfying (to me) since his trauma was such a large part of the plot. It felt like they tried to equate how Yuki acted to that of Yutaka, ignoring that Yutaka was a much younger child who'd just lost his family and was dependant on this new family for his survival. I'd have much prefered if the older brother hadnt tried to shift blame onto him, and just left it as an apology. Still can neatly resolve that plotline, and much less aggravating for me ππ

My instinctive reaction to that conversation was that it was kinda unfair of the brother to put the blame on Yutaka, as we'd only seen the brother be brusque even as an adult (in the supermarket), but i guess we'd only seen from yutaka's perspective until then... I guess they just wanted to resolve that plotline pretty quickly as there's only 1 eps left, but they made his trauma with his bro/family such a feature of the show that it felt a bit anti-climactic.
Second episode was as great! I like what they're doing with the time-jumps and that we see the consequences of his meddling, makes me really anticipate the next eps! The only thing is, if i'm being picky (and why not, let's do it!), when he returned to the future i wondered why he wouldnt remember his new life since it seemed to flash before his eyes? Why is he finding out at the same time we do? Of course the reason is Plot, and it wouldnt make for great TV otherwise, but there you have it, i can't stop my brain π. I hope it keeps up the fun in the coming eps, and doesnt derail into madness like some others have recently.
