I'm also wondering, there is barely any plot (it is just the first episode but still), the dialogues are questionable,…
haha, yeah, the random japanese voice over totally threw me. I was like, who's that? what's he saying? Is HE speaking in japanese? I assume it was there cos of the anime obsession he has, but it felt so odd at the time 😂😅
This was interesting. The "couples" are interesting for me, nobody was annoying yet. No plot? Ofc there is. Someone…
yeah, i agree, so far it's totally fine. The editing was a bit off and i got confused about timelines here and there, but i've def seen worse quality shows. I am actually interested in what happens next, and it's not bc of NC scenes.
It wasn't that bad, i was worried bc of all the bad comments. I did actually end up enjoying it, though i did have to double-speed past some of the cringiest bits. There was A LOT of guys wanking, which isnt a good substitute for plot or even that much fun (for me) to watch, but at least the acting overall was not terrible. And it has set up some interesting characters and a mystery. I enjoyed the twist at the end and can see drama that will unfold. I think it could end up being a fun watch, but yeah, the current rating of 8.9 is def too high and is unlikely to stay that way.
Eps 2 was still fun! Enjoyed seeing Mhok start to tame Day, and seeing Day start to become curious about what Mhok looks like in the Romeo&Juliet fishtank scene. It's a nice build-up of tension between them. i hope they keep it up to the end. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Forget Guy, he actually makes some sense most of the time in his reactions. But Tew? I'm not sure what Tew's plan is anymore. He's jst had a confrontation with his boss who basically told him he'd kill him if he lied to him or tried to leave. He gets ordered to go deal with (kill?) the psycho-with-the-wig for lying to the boss, and instead he tells him to run away(?) and he'll lie to his boss about the ungrateful weirdo being dead...?! And then says he'll leave the gangster life for a frankly wishy-washy Guy he's jst met? i guess they need to go turbo speed into the plot since it's 8 eps, but the writing def feels rushed.
Quite a cute series about two boys who clearly have some feelings, which seems to be clear to everyone around them too (with some cooking thrown in). The basic biatch in me would have liked more definition in their relationship, but if there's a sequel then i'll be more than happy if it gets more developed there. Reminds me of Ingredients
Love this drama, it's so good! loved all the characters and their romances, really interesting and different. Great chemistry between the main couple, it genuinely felt like they had been together for a while. Great work from all the actors, i'll be keeping an eye out for all of them
Chaos...I can't tell if the issue is Jade's character brief or if Yim doesn't have the right comedic timing to pull it off, but he feels very high octane anime. Everyone else seems to be in a different genre 😅I imagine it'll tone down? maybe?
So far, so good! Good first episode setting up the characters and their current situation. Liked some of the themes they hit, looking forward to seeing interesting dynamics.Kinda wish they'd introduced the sister before they killed her off in the first couple of minutes, the scene would have hit harder, but it's a minor point, and they circled back later.
I liked it, it was an easy and quick watch. It's a trope I like a lot, the actors are lovely and the characters are generally pretty likeable. The ending was a bit cheesy but I don't mind a bit of cheese 🧀 I did spend most of the time wondering who the actor that plays do hyun reminds me of... something about his eyes reminds me of another actor but can't quite place it...I got it, maybe a young hyun bin?
I didnt watch the anime or read the manga before watching the movie. So, while i definitely enjoyed the movie, i was pretty much confused right from the start. Eg, the whole arc with the sister's fiance's family schemes went right over my head, and at one point i thought the fiance was actually the FL's brother (cos he said he was! i thought it was some other actor who hdnt showed up until then...). I have since seen most of the anime and it provided a lot more explanation for wth was happening. I rewatched the movie and i have to say, now that i'm less confused, i like the story there more and i'm looking fwd to a sequel 🤞🏽 The acting was enjoyable to watch and the ML's visuals were really charismatic. I dont like a downtrodden subservient woman but she did grow on me, and it helped that the main guy was super nice (and hot!).
i'm really happy that we're starting to get more bl characters who actually say out loud that they're gay/acknowledge…
i love amane's mix of honesty, vulnerabilty and use of laughter as a defense mechanism, it feels quite natural and i think the actor is doing a good job. Often it will get played awkwardly, but it doesnt feel that way here.
