Wow, Moon Geun Young surely can dance. I don't know how long she had been practising for this one, but it came out real good. The storyline wasn't powerful enough for me, but I certainly enjoyed this one.
On A Bittersweet Life Sep 2, 2013
Simply awesome. Fantastic acting (LBH kicks ass, literally), good storyline which contains some ruthless action scenes, beautiful drama that moves your heart and even a good laughing out loud moments here and there. You simply can't miss this.

It was cute, but something felt missing. Maybe I expected too much knowing that this is from the same maker of the super cute "My Little Bride". But anyway, still a worth watching movie.

Title Old Boy
A true classic.
Don't watch if you're not into violence and odd story concept.

Hey winnie, I know, right? Why aren't there more sweet and caring characters like Kai? The first time I watched this drama was almost a decade ago and I've rewatched it like 5 times already and it's still up there in my favorite drama list. :)
On Memories of Matsuko Sep 2, 2013
A dark fairy tale about the tragic and sad life of Matsuko, presented in a very pretty and flamboyant cinematography. I gotta say.. outstanding. And one more thing, Miki Nakatani is simply amazing.

Beautiful.. I loved it. I already expected the ending was gonna be like that, but it didn't stop me from tearing up in the end.
On The Mamiya Brothers Sep 2, 2013
Slowly paced, sometimes it has a raw feeling to it, but it is very nice and refreshing! The relationship between the two brothers are very very uplifting and heartwarming. I wish my relationships with my siblings are like that.
On The Taste of Tea Sep 2, 2013
It is slowly paced and has no real plot. It is just a portraiture of a normal Japanese family, with a little bit of special effect here and there. Some people think it's dull, but I think it's entertaining. Cinema is not only about "excitement".
On Suekko Chounan Ane Sannin Sep 2, 2013
Watched this a while back. It was cute, though I remember that the husband's character could be quite annoying at times when he lets himself being controlled by others (read: the sister as well as the wife). But, overall it was cute and nice. Big casts too!
On Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru Sep 2, 2013
I think this drama is good. It tells a story of love for the less attractive people. The main lady is not pretty, but heck love is for everyone. The drama is romantic, cute, and funny, and moreover... definitely much better than many other pointless drama with a bunch of attractive actors/actresses.

Title Unfair
A very good mystery drama. A lot of suspense mixed with a touching and emotional drama. Unexpected twist in the end with a cliffhanger.

Each of the characters portray their roles very very well. Especially Yukihira, her ex-husband, Mikami and Ando... They're all really good actors. And one more thing, Ryoko Shinohara really kicks ass here :)

Very nice, lighthearted and funny. Great chemistry between the cast as well and boy do they play each of their roles perfectly. I just love Tomoko Yamaguchi here, she really fits her role perfectly as the cute, modern, and stubborn Miyako. The mother in law is indeed quite annoying, but I bet the older generation of Mothers out there would feel for her. Anyway, both of them make the perfect and dynamic Mom-and-Daughter-in-law combo. Besides of that, the husband and the father are very funny too, they all complement each other perfectly. I Highly recommend this one if you are looking for a simple drama with a simple story and a laugh.

Hey Opie, how's your crime/gangster/triad movies/drama watching going? Did you check out any of the stuff that I recommended you?

Uhm, all time favourite drama? It's hard to say. I've watched too many drama that it's impossible to name just ONE drama as my all time favourite. All the drama that I gave a 10 or 9 in my completed list are the ones that I really love. For example, Orange Days, Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, My Name is Kim Sam Soon, Reply 1997, Special Affairs Team TEN, Brother Beat and Hito ni Yasashiku.

I enjoyed Faith. I like Eun Soo's character. She's a strong and willful female character, which is an element that I love in my drama. Not many of these characters in the drama land. But Faith as a whole? Could have been better... is all I'm gonna say.

And it's good to have a long PTW list. There's no hurry and you need to take your time to enjoy drama. All of the drama and movies in my completed list is a result of a decade of drama watching. So take your time :)

Hey, I saw you're currently watching Faith. How is it going with our lovely red-headed doctor Eun Soo in the land of Goryeo? ;) You also have soooo many stuff in your PTW list. A lot to recommend there :) Nice to meet you btw.

Oh btw, I think we kinda have the same taste. I, too, love Orange Days, Lovers, In the Mood for Love, etc. So, I'd like to recommend another drama for your PTW list, which is "My Name is Kim Sam Soon". This series is very entertaining, well acted and has a great dialogue. Definitely one of my faves. Sam Soon is a strong female character too; passionate and stubborn. I think you'll like her :)

Cruel City has been pretty amazing so far. It really reminds me of the Hong Kong noir genre, such as Infernal Affairs, A Better Tomorrow, etc. I like that each of the relationships in this series is messy and dysfunctional haha. Also love the action scenes though some of the action scenes in the beginning kind of reminded me of Oldboy, which made me let out that same sigh I did when I watched Spike Lee's remade oldboy trailer. But anyway, I'm liking it so far :)

AGD, I put it on hold. I remember getting annoyed with the characters at some point because I found them to be too childish for their age. But I don't wanna drop it completely either. I'm just finding (waiting for) the right mood to finish it :)
