It's NOT A BL properly, it was published as shoujo. But the guys end up together as a couple, just don't expect…
It is classified as shoujo cause it’s published on a shoujo magazine lol Even if the main were only Aoki and Ida, just check Banana Fish, also a shoujo.
But Johnnys is marketing this WW as BL. Now the countdown begging with people creating crazy accusations of homophobia cause the story won’t have the usual BL PDA.
BL or queerbait? I really dislike shows that queerbait.
It's NOT A BL properly, it was published as shoujo.
But the guys end up together as a couple, just don't expect any PDA cause there's vey very few on the manga (the biggest thing that happened so far was a kiss on the cheek). It's a classic slow burn shoujo
Eventhough the quality of image/audio is not as par as Gameboys and Hello Stranger, but the script is very endearing and the two main leads are SO handsome.
Lin Pei Yu redeemed herself after the awful Fighthing Mr 2nd
No K-BL was ever made with the domestic audience in mind. ALL of them were made for international market. Where Your Eyes Linger and Peach of Time weren't even released in Korea at first, they were only released as movies after.
K-BLs are short cause they are WEB SERIES. All korean web series have short episodes. The main reason k-bl is SO short is cause it doesn't have proper sponsors. They rely on foreinger investiment. Light On Me was bigger cause it was a major move from the company who makes the game it was based on. It has nothing to do with being done for a streaming plataform cause ALL k bl were done for streaming, none has ever been broadcasted on tv. K-dramas made for TV tend to have longer episodes, no matter the content and recently there has been quite a few with LGBTs sub plots.
Without garantee of return, most companys do short series for foreing market cause that's easier to make a profit.
actually! shoujo as a manga genre refers to: "aimed at a teen female readership", so any shounen ai or shoujo…
First: there’s nao thing as shounen ai in Japan, only westerns use this
Second: BL came from shoujo, but today it’s another demographic. People may call this BL as they want, but it’s not. It’s a shoujo manga-series with a mlm couple.
I said what I said cause the only PDA that happened in the manga so far was a kiss on the cheek. This is a classic slow burn innocent shoujo.
It still can be charged and convicted as child grooming your ignorant brat. I was just replying why they killed themselves, if it wasn't a drastic thing (AS IT IS) the movie wouldn't have ended as it did.
What's wrong with New since last year? All his works have this overly dark treatment, miserable storylines (even if the original work isn't, just check My Gear and Your Gown).
Making an anthology just to keep throwing these kinds of endings, for what? I hope he put a lighter tone in Hemp Rope

too bad they streched it into 12

This one is sweet, endearing and not as shallow as the previous ones. I'm in love with the main trio

Besides that, they could have balanced better the drama with the cute scenes
I truly hope Kieta Hatsukoi opens even more door for mlm content on open television there. I know Johnnys wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t to win hahahaha

Calm down, the movie obviously made the 2nd half unconfortable, I didn't say it romanticizes it LOL
There are stuff there that don't make sense happening within the movie.
Jimmy can't act, so I think it was a bad move to put him as the lead. The plot is dark AF. I hope it gets lighter next episodes.
