That being normalized in asia don't take away people's discomfort on how the scene (and it's promotion since they've been talking about it on every single interview) was handled. I didn't hate the episode nor the whole scene, just the rappey sequence (it could have been shortned, not used violins or maden to look erotic). I don't mind he being drunk, while I do agree it sounds awkward the way them (director + actors) talked about this. Taiwanese/chinese audience still is a hard core BL fanbase, while it is more mainstream on Thailand (and some shows in Japan), maybe that's why this kind of scene was soooo praised there.
About TharnType: that show didn't deserve even a 5, but it shouldn't be used as an excuse for people in general not liking rappey stuff in BL. TT is not the norm, it's an isolated case.

If this show was centered only on Jim, Ben, Roy and Val it would have been good. But the side plots are horrible and took most of the time of the first 5 episodes.

They could have not used the romantic song and not lasted the forced scene so much. I loved Sam’s acting the whole fear involved on the scene, but the rappey sequence was a big turn off

Like WTF????? They are going woke depicting the boss being a harasser while romanticizing the protagonist being a harasser? That’s one of the big reasons why I despise TharnType and History come with this terrible plot????
