there is a series with that premise? it can't be BL considering B stands for boys. a lead man at least a 58 year…
BL isn't cause of the age LOL Well, in the begining it was indeed about high school boys, but now a days there are BLs with characthers of almost any age.
I think a I saw a pinoy guy here complaining about the over use of english in this series. At 1st it didn't bother me, but then I started to pay attention that Vlad and Judit usually use english for phrases with impact ("remember, you are valid" and all those things), it's not well balanced and it really seems that the author uses english catch phrases to make an impact on international viewers.
But over all, it's doing great. The conflicts are very well done.
OK here is an ending that came to mind - Their relationship is still a blank paper because even if Teh had accepted…
Im putting all my coins on a ending like this. They’ll be set apart cause of family/university, Oh Aew will tell the sunset about this, the last scene is Teh showing up again.
this was supposed to air on august, but postponed due to covid, rewriting and rainy season.
Political tensions. Most international pages don’t give a f about this, but it has been a hot topic. The author always says they rewrote everything to eliminate any military comment on the novel.
Same. I've heard lots of explanations about how it's cute and fine in Thai culture but it still leaves a bad taste…
True, but this author specifically over uses this to point that it’s annoying. There are loads of Thai BL that uses this punctually and it doesn’t become an issue.
Plus: 2020, after the international breakout, to say that authors should aim on fantasizing female audiences (not all women like this, not even thais), is to be attached to the past. It’s time to evolve. They can use wifey, but not in a fetish way as we see here.
It is good, but is the "wifey" translation accurate? It always bothers me lol
It is, but not really. In Thai it doesn’t have the “gender sound” it has when you translate. BUT, when gay couples use this there it doesn’t mean like “you’re the woman, I’m the man” stereotypically as most BLs use. On this situation is just the authors fetishcizing and treating The characthers as a straight couple
1st of all yall complain too much.2nd you do know this is being filmed in the middle of a pandemic I don't know…
Errrrrr, you know Thailand hasn’t had any covid cases since April and that shooting series had already come back to normal when this begun shooting? This is the worst excuse ever. I Told Sunset About You starter shooting around the same time and it’s incredible. A chance to Love is mediocre cause of the crew. Don’t blame covid.
And even if they had limitations by the government (they hadn’t) just check Gaya Sa Pelikula.

Gay couple do call each other the words that are usually translated as “wifey” and “hubby”, but it doesn’t have the gender sound they have when we translate. The thing is it has NOT the same implication female BL authors give. In BLs they make the “wifey”/“hubby” a gender thing, the wifey do the cleaning, do the cooking, etc... that’s not how it works there. If you wanna know how real gay couples use this there, I suggest you read My Ride. It was written by a gay man and it explains there. It’s available on Amazon.

No need to praise this kind of trashy shows (even though it's thai sister is a smash hit and even is airing a 2nd season)

I've seen a lot of tweets like that, some comments below too
