haha I think you're one of the few that has mentioned that you only knew him as a singer. I would suggest Ultimate Note or The Long Ballad, as those two dramas are well loved and he is well-praised for his performances in them :)

I've heard so many good things about Navillera but I guess from the storyline, it could easily be a movie vs a 12 ep drama. Some dramas falls in the line of 12-16 being too long and being a 2hr movie would be too short. I think any number of ep would work as long as they don't drag it.

Seems like they wanted to rope the viewers in even longer for no reason. Could be a flaw in that the manhwa has not finished yet and left the writers to go crazy at it

Thanks for your comment. I remember enjoying Gangnam Beauty while I was following it during it's airing time. It sounds like one where I should go back and finish :)
I haven't seen True Beauty but from the clips that I've seen, it does seem like it's focused on romance than the message of "true beauty"

it's hard not to love this talented and humble man :D I'm grateful that it's of use to be bookmarked for you :)
Unfortunately, MDL doesn't have a bookmark option. I'm not too sure how it works on the app, but if you're using your browser, you can bookmark it by clicking the star (on google chrome)

I’m glad it was a great read! And I haven’t watched My ID Is Gangnam Beauty so I think ima check it out
I didn't finish My ID is Gangnam Beauty due to forgetting to keep up with airing dates and not getting back to it but it seemed like it was going in a good direction. I could be wrong, just wanted to note that incase I steered you in the wrong direction ;)

lol! So that's what it was. I was thinking to myself that you're usually on top of submitting articles but this one is taking a minute. I agree that people would probably forget about YAMH soon, there has been a load of new dramas since it aired earlier in the year. hopefully, if it does, it'll be a good throwback for old fans of the show

That makes sense and it's easier to write about topics you're passionate about. I have one where it's on the borderline of not too hot about it because I pivoted it and it's taking longer than what I initially planned. Out of curiosity because I know it's a co-written article and you don't have to answer, but is this the case for your article for YAMH? Its been sitting for a little bit and I would love to read more thoughts about the drama (as I have enjoyed it).

haha you know me, I don't mind spoilers at all (or 97% of the time I don't mind them). but that's interesting that you lose motivation to write based on the endings, maybe try pivoting the article? But I can only imagine how tough it was to cowrite that article then xD Glad you made it through and published it :) but you just reminded me to go pick it back up and not start something new! I need some self-control to not start so many dramas

I applaud you for watching dramas raw. I haven't done that in a long time and no dramas lately have made me feel like I need to watch it despite its lack of subs.

I love these fansubbers so much and their dedication to subbing. I've tried to help with timing? (not too sure if that's the term) once and it's quite time-consuming. Also, I felt like it was hard since I didn't understand the language and broke up the timing awkwardly. It probably didn't match the words/sentences spoken.

I htink it's cause the Northern language is quite different to standard (Central) Thai.
really glad that they're cherishing the Isan culture more. It's definitely a unique aspect of Thailand

I have actually been hearing alot about Youth of May and I want to watch it but my heart is not yet read!Absolutely…
One positive aspect of Youth of May is that it has 12 episodes.

I have been meaning to check out Chicago Typewriter as the plot seems interesting and Yoo Ah In is the lead, but I always forget about it when I want to watch a k-drama. Gotta pin it to the top of my list!!

yes, I understand that the language are different, which contributes to lack of subs. Even in southern Thailand there's a distinct difference as well.

How can one not love all the moments from Flower of Evil and how Lee Jun Ki portrays Do Hyun Soo? He gets me every time in an emotional scene!

What I love about that scene in Rebel was the fact that they all were fighting together for the greater good. For Ga Ryeong, she would rather they eliminate the enemy than for Gil Dong to give it all up for her. And I think that's what made this scene so powerful and emotional for me.

I have yet to see Chicago Typewriter and Mr. Sunshine has been on pause for a good half-year? So I have yet to finish that one either. However, the most recent one I saw that made me think of when I saw your article was from Youth of May and Hee Tae's letter. That was the only time I got emotional for their love during the drama

This was a fun read and I'll be looking forward to pt 2 :)

This was a really great read and congrats on your first article! I have thoroughly enjoyed IOTNBO even though I was aware of the issues that you pointed out. Not trying to justify that it's okay to justify real-life issues poorly but I just wanted to say that I enjoyed IOTNBO purely for the relationships and that the message it tried to portray despite its exaggeration. I hope that at the very least, viewers did their own research and are aware that not all of these issues are the same case by case as to how the drama portrays them.

These are some of the more popular rated dramas as well so I'm glad you're bringing awareness to the issue. I have not seen the other shows you mentioned so I can't comment much but maybe Cha Eun Woo's My ID Is Gangnam Beauty may be a better depiction of "true beauty"?

I've always loved a good lakorn that's set in Northern or Eastern Thailand. The issue with watching lakorns back in the days is that these types of lakorns would not be the first pick for subbing. However, the increase of popularity in lakorns has certainly made subbers more willing to pick up these type of lakorns and it does help that it's from a popular channel with popular casts. I was going to start this while it was airing but I held myself back. I hope to get to it sometime soon. It's also cool to see Bow on a Ch3 show, with Nadech as well! Another great article under your belt. Btw, did not know that WeTV was starting to pick up lakorns as well! Was quite surprised to see you list it as a form of source.

Great article! I'm not a fan of horror but I know many who I can suggest this list to. Loving that this list contains a load of Thai horror as well. My personal opinion is that they do it best ;)

With shows that don't have a storyline, I'm okay with taking it by chunks. Me to Us seems to have some pretty talented artists so I'm excited to get to it when I can

There were so many great pairings in the show! I can't choose one to call my favorite but I really enjoyed Timmy…
definitely! I love music related shows because I'm always on the hunt to find new artists and songs to listen to
