I am actually aware the Corsak is Chinese and I do listen to his works as well! I think that sentence got overlooked in the editing process :( I actually knew of Corsak before Liu Yu Ning so I was quite shocked to see that they had collaborated a few times already.

I have heard of Liu Yu Ning's cover of "一万次悲伤" and it is one of my favorites from him! <3

It's definitely on my list to check out. I was waiting for it to be subbed but I believe it should be subbed to the most recently episodes. How are you liking that one so far?

Ohhh! Yes! The one with Simon Gong! totally forgot about that one but it's for sure on my radar as well. It'll be an interesting take to see from the military/special forces ones we've been seeing

Definitely had so much potential. I liked that it was different to YAMH with the whole action-crime aspect added in and was looking forward to see that being executed through the show.

Ahhh okay. Well I've been telling everyone I enjoyed the last 10 episodes the most. It's where everything picked up speed with the T4 arc, if you were looking forward to that (cause I was xD). If you ever decide that you're bored enough, it wouldn't be too much of a drag to finish the rest of that 40%. :)

I've been trying to keep my eyes peeled for this type of military-medic trope lately XD I don't think I've seen any yet. There's a lot of military/spy based ones that seems quite interesting though, if you don't mind some sort of propaganda.

I have yet to see most of these dramas that you've mentioned. But I lol'ed at your comment on 'Lady Bancham': giving me a headache so bad I had to take a break from it, but of course, the second I continued, the headache came back. Only lakorns have ever done this to me, especially Pin Anong. I dropped it because I couldn't stand torturing myself XD

But I highly agreed with you on L&R. I enjoyed it for what it was but had a hard time accepting the torture Si Feng went through, x number of lifetimes, and how Xuan Ji got away with it all. Literal "boo sheet" as you put it

Wow it's been years since I've seen and never completed that one (due to busy schedule and not finding the drive to finish it when I did have time again). It does definitely have the two elements you mentioned, eating and conversations.

I was thinking maybe "The Evolution of Our Love" but I haven't finished this one. And I know the general basis of the storyline through the korean ver so I know it has the "stuck in friendzone until the end" trope.

Felt like this could've been me as well, but I'm trying not to make my drop list so lengthy XD This was a 5.5/10 after completing it, so I can totally see why you dropped and why many are uninterested in it.

Li Qin is becoming a favorite amongst viewers lately and I'm glad to see her in such a positive light after "Princess Agents." Hopefully she just continues to grow and improve from here :) Did you happen to like what you saw from the drama before putting it on hold?

I have yet to watch Joy of Life, heard many great things about it. Li Qin has been given a good amount of roles that can be good but her execution of those roles hasn't hit the spot for me. Do hope for her to wow me in the future. So, you probably wouldn't miss much from skipping this one anyways :)

Yes, the awkward/uneven shifts in the show made it hard for me to as well. I couldn't tell if they wanted us to see this as a serious drama with all the other elements and a sprinkle of romance for lightheartedness or a romance focused drama with other aspects sprinkled in. Because at certain points it got pretty melodrama-y as well.

Definitely don't feel like My Dear Guardian was too horrible after finishing it. I think the last 10 episodes helped redeemed the show for me because I was really lost on what I was trying to see with the drama. A lot of missed opportunities with this one as they showed too many other things within the 40 episodes.

I think another issue is that sometimes dramas position themselves as romance (through trailers, posters, synopsis), and I think that can be an issue. So when people don't see the typical things they expect out of a romance drama, they tend to drop it or be upset over it. I feel like that was the case with this drama here.

I agree that actors are second to plot as I don't tend to follow actors/actresses but how intriguing a plot may be. I think in cdramaland, they care a lot more about quantity than quality, so it's definitely harder to find something really good. They tend to follow trends as well, so we see more of the same types of dramas getting aired around the same time or even years later.

Yes, the plot does follow based on character decisions and intelligence, and that's why it was rough to watch some of the scenes in the drama as they weren't realistic within the realms of their professions. Because it's a 40 episode drama, I'm glad they made this a slow-burn romance drama. I definitely see a new trend of short-length dramas and I'm all for that!

He's one of my favorite soloists and OST singers! I first heard of the beautiful "Stay Here" and then heard him again in "The Last Empress" OST, both in 2018. I love all of his covers and am so biased towards them. Love how he makes all covers sound like his own with his unique style. I would love to see him do something with PLT again; however, I'm also loving what he's doing with KAVE right now too. Also, soooo happy that he's finally getting some more love, attention, and recognition since Itaewon Class. Feel so proud of Gaho <3 Thanks for writing another lovely OST singer guide :)

Yes, I saw the Douban ratings, which are quite low but this drama was still able to create the buzz on rankings. There were quite some comments about all aspects of the drama from what I saw. I think it's hard for people to not compare it to DOTS and YAMH as both were popular. I haven't seen DOTS but I have seen YAMH. There are aspects that make both of these dramas drag and all dramas that have lengthy episodes drag. I think while the military-doctor trope is the same for these, the setting of the show and what they try to tell are quite different.

The intelligence of the characters and the choices they make does pull the show down, but I actually like the plot here as it had the potential to do well even though it would have been cliche. All aspects just weren't executed well through the writing. I feel like all the actors and actresses in here did good though.

I have seen Li Qin in a couple shows now and I do agree that Li Qin has yet to really wow me as well. But she's an actress where I do keep an eye out for. I feel like her characters in Song of Glory and The Wolf did have some sort of vengeance theme going on.
