The FL is not as innocent as you make her out to be. She is whip smart and her greatest strength is knowing how to manipulate people and interpersonal relationships to her will. She is acting like a teen with a crush because it is the most effective way to gain trust from Wei Shao.

you never know tho, I've watched 3 historical dramas with Song Zu Er as female lead. All are supposed to have HE based on the source material but in all 3 dramas the scriptwriters went full retarded and changed to SE.

in ep17 she explained it when the ML fell asleep in her arms. (around 17:30 mark) She's trying to get closer to him so he'll get closer to her. It's not like she suddenly transitioned to a lovesick wife but she is trying to turn up the heat to get him to like her more.

Ya, I've watched her in 3 dramas up to now. The Demon Hunter's Romance, Novoland: Eagle Flag, and The Dark Lord. All 3 dramas are supposed to have happy endings based on the source material I believe. However the scriptwriters all made them into sad endings. I was so pissed.

Now that I think about it, none of the Song Zu Er dramas I've watched have happy endings. Even when the source material has happy ending, the scriptwriters went full retarded. I really hope this drama will break the curse.

Horses aren't cheap, especially trained ones they use for filming. It doesn't make sense for them to intentionally harm them. Accidents do happen tho.

around 8ish when this slow burn starts to heat up. The ML stops being a red flag after ep5 so you still have to go through 2 eps of the ML being a jerk. Not going to lie tho, the ML does some pretty dumb and horrible things later on. Not really a spoiler since in ep 1 you find out he just got out of prison. But... for all it's flaws, the chemistry between the lead couple is insane.
