Go Jin is a man with a plan and is usually one step ahead of others at all times, so I'm hoping this retirement is a part of it so he won't have to take the fall?
So I went back and rewatched the opening scene of Ep 1 and there's no sign of Gotop, as in none of the posters have the logo in them until almost the very end when they show the building where they do display the logo of Gotop, and if that scene really is from the future, then I guess it's safe to assume that Gotop is safe and here to stay :P

I mentioned this in a comment below so I'm sorry about the spam but I believe Go Jin's priority right now is Shin A's health more than anything else so it may have just been a lousy excuse on his part to keep her from leading a stressful life as an instructor. Especially since reading her diary and believing he made her sick, he is trying his best to make her life as easy as possible so she can recover. He was SO EXTRA about this all throughout the episode too (I mean, he got her back to work but did most of her work for her) lol so I think it comes from a place of concern and I believe she will get to live her dreams once he knows she's okay.

Ep 13 hasn't aired, so there is no breakup yet. It's all just mindless speculation at this point

Yikes is right, but I think it had more to do with him wanting her to lead a stress free life at least for a little while until she gets healthy, so his priority is to ensure she is okay more than anything else. She doesn't know he knows, lol. He keeps emphasizing this through his actions, even though he got her back to work, he goes out of his way to help her even with the littlest of things.

And to be fair, he did warn her before the kiss. She could've stopped him if she wanted to, but girl said no sorry 3 seconds just won't do, LMAO

Ugh! I absolutely detest break ups especially towards the end of the show so I really hope there isn't one. It feels extremely redundant and adds absolutely no value (Hello FLAW, I'm looking at you!)

Sigh... I think what some people fail to realize is that Go Jin isn't supposed to be a likeable character, he's sort of like an anti-hero if you will. He's not a perfect person and isn't even trying to be and the show isn't even trying to sell us that idea (Hint: umm the title?). We as viewers do understand him to a certain extent over time but we haven't forgiven him completely (I read some of the comments saying Shin A shouldn't give in too easily and I agreed) and I don't think Shin A has either, which explains her hesitance!
People would enjoy this show a lot more if they'd just accept this, lol

Could be the girl who bumped into Shin A this episode, something was off about her.
They revealed it was a woman in the 9th episode when the lighting almost fell on him. You can see longer hair underneath the cap, and the hair color and build seems to match the person she bumped into!

Am I the only one who noticed that the door was open and was expecting someone to walk in and go oops? 🤭

I hope all misunderstandings are cleared up next episode so that Go Jin and Shin A can turn into the power couple they are and oust his enemies one by one. Right now Go Jin is fighting a lonely battle, and we know how Shin A is when she feels wronged, so unleash the crazy the both of you!

OMG same! His words and his actions, while some were over the top and unnecessary, really show how much he cares. Him taking the time not just to help her whenever he could but also to study up on cancer and then saying he won't give up was truly heart warming to watch! He also seems to be making progress with others as well, he is becoming a nicer person overall 🥺

Also, both Soo-young and Segi can f**k off for all I care!
