Just some thoughts on only the best episode everrrrspoilers below
Do you all agree that other kdrama writers that follow the usual kdrama formula (iykyk) can learn a thing or two from this show? It has been nothing but entertaining and extremely refreshing considering the number of tropes that were built into the show without being too overbearing all while still maintaining that element of surprise, and that's a tough act to balance. And each of these tropes have been handled with much satisfaction to the viewer without being stretched for all it's worth and more. Ep 12 was no different, and I have to say this episode is by far my favorite in the series! Like many have already mentioned, the revelation of her misdiagnosis was over and done with in a matter of minutes, very delightfully might I add! There was no ghosting, or misunderstanding arising out of this, but just some good old healthy communication between our leads like normal people which some other shows fail to do just for the heck of it.
Also watching Go Jin and Shin A being super affectionate and enjoying their normal lovey-dovey date was so rewarding not just for them but to the audience as well, I mean we've been.....patient. Go Jin going the extra mile to ask the other sunbae instructors to help his girl out was just 🥺 and also willing to give up everything he has worked for 🥺😩 like, just who is this man?? He's got the heart eyes for her yall Like I said in a comment below, if I had to choose one emoji to describe Go Jin it would be 😻, because he sure is a smitten kitten at this point!
He has been visible to everyone up to now, but Park Tae-yang is the only one to recognize him from his past. Probably…
Yes there seems to be something super shady about him but imagine everyone's surprise if Go Jin planted him there LMAO Too far fetched I know but it would make for a fun twist!
Segi is literally burying himself atp. Dude arranged a shareholder's meeting, well little does he know, Gojin…
Yeah not sure what he's trying to do but he has many attacks planned including the Tax Evasion one and Go Jin's been distracted so I hope he's brought up to speed before the meeting.
I think she’s Segi’s sister. Korean parents like to name their kids with close pronunciation.
Thank you! I wasn't quite sure when they met and started Gotop so I guess it's been close to 7 years now. But I wonder if not visiting his family albeit during tough times is enough of a reason to want to bring down Go Jin? That could be something one would feel guilty towards but I'm not sure if it warrants revenge. Much to ponder indeed!
So much yessss!! I think Shin A is in a very secure place knowing the amount of effort Go Jin has been putting in and sensing his relief once he knew she is okay. He's also said things like "I'll never let you go", "We're in this together". No wonder she had the confidence to say she will consider and respect what he has to say about it.
Not me thinking that Se Gi was a woman before lol @cattaurus theory seems plausible
LMAO thanks but then I also thought Go Jin was going to seriously consider retiring based on the previous preview 🤡 so I could be completely wrong when the next episode rolls around

It is most likely just a misunderstanding or Segi just wanted someone to "blame". I don't think there would be a character assassination, I just meant Go Jin may have been innocent but still somehow involved. Because Segi's motivations do seem a bit personal, especially based on the preview he wants to drag Go Jin down when he's right at his peak so this is something that has been building for over 10/12 years unless it happened recently but then Go Jin also seems to have no idea. So Chillax your mind, hehe (couldn't help it sorry!)
I've kinda lost count of all the names he was called in the previous episode so bear with me here. Does anyone still have complaints about Go Jin being absolutely selfish, problematic, toxic, insecure, controlling, abusive, disrespectful, etc?

Yes, and what if she's also the stalker? That gives him some motivation to ruin to Go Jin. Maybe something happened between her and Go Jin which kinda destroyed Segi's family, traumatized the dad which explains why his dad's in a nursing home waiting for his daughter.
Thanks for the link. I am surprised how much i already can understand after learning korean daily for two months
I've been learning only from what I hear in kdramas, haha. I've realized that once you know what certain prefixes and suffixes mean then it gets easier to decipher what they're saying. I still don't understand full sentences but my vocab is surely stronger than my grammar. Most of Segi's and Soo Young's scenes were harder to understand. Like you said I'm learning as I watch but have a long way to go in terms of reading and writing :(
You've made a lot of progress in such a short time, that's amazing!! I knew like 4 words in that duration, lmao. And about the more complicated grammar rules, 할 수있어!

Are you me? Those ads fascinate me too! They seem different from the ones I see in my country, more polished I guess? And watching kdramas for 2 years has finally paid off well! I was able to understand about 60%, haha. I haven't begun to learn it formally yet, only know the alphabets so far.... but anyway, my heart is soooooo happy, Ep 12 has quickly become my fav! If Go Jin could be described by one emoji, it would be 😻 now. He really is a smitten kitten!

Also, 파이팅 on your learning journey! I hope to get there someday too <3
