As much as Gwan Hee seems like a red flag in the series, he's really grown on me as a person. I started the show disliking him but he's now become one of my favorite people to watch on this season. He makes this show interesting, and even with the red flags he clearly shows the green flags as well (even if it's not as much as the red). I feel like without him on the show it'd be so boring, because like who wants to watch a reality show without the entertainment factor?
Can someone spoil me the ending of what happened to all the couples in this drama? I'm getting a little worried because a lot of the comments make it seem like the ending was unsatisfying or a bad ending.

I really want to watch this drama but I'm really bad with sad endings :( When the last episode was originally released I went to the comments section and saw mention complaints and mentions of the bad ending and how sad it was and it swayed me from starting the drama. Can someone confirm with me if it really is a sad ending and if there is any way to view it in a more positive light? Can someone also spoil me specifically what the ending was? Thanks!
Currently watching the series and as most xianxias the FL generally starts off selfish/weak, it seems this drama is no different, does the FL get better in terms of consideration, maturity, does she grow as a character as the series progresses, and does she get stronger? :o I don't mind spoilers! I haven't seen her other dramas yet, but for this drama I felt like her acting was fine! :D I got emotional off of her acting, but of course Ding Yu Xi stole the show <3 They also have a lot of chemistry on screen which probably helped with her natural acting since they've know each other since the Heart Signal days

Yeah it was really adorable to watch the 30,000 years ago arc <3 it really shows them in young love since they're both like only 3,000 years old during that time

For Back from the Brink: 1. How's the Angst? When I first gave it a try I dropped it pretty early on because I felt like it became to comedic which usually isn't my cup of tea in these kinds of dramas. Does it get serious/angsty? I usually like xianxias on the emotional side. 2. How's the romance? Is it slow burn? Do they have chemistry? 3. Are there any love triangles/squares or any side characters that like the ML or FL? 4. I'm a sucker for the 'secret power' trope, or some sort of hidden identity or any hidden overall. Does the FL have anything like this? I do see she's pretty weak in the beginning. 5. Is it a Happy Ending? I can't handle sad endings T_T
