OMG I almost died laughing at AvenueX's atrocious criticism that they should have made our leads waddle around…
AvenueX does not earn my respect as cdramas commentator, for me she has no respect for actors and actresses she personally dislikes and goes far and beyond for those she likes. She is totally bias and has no control over her own ranting and raving that can be so damaging.
The story stands well, it is a period drama and fits into the dynasty in which it is set. The casting is well chosen, the main male lead does a great job, the main female lead fits into the role she plays. It is not a big production in cinematography, but it has all the essence of how an important family looks and behaves in that period, the dialogues are well written, the costumes are great to watch. It is a very good drama, a bit different from what are being aired. Look forward to the next episodes.
The Rebel Princess has raised a very high bar in the drama land this year, I honestly do not see any drama of this calibre on the horizon, feeling depressed.
DYING to know what is being said in ep 62 in the throne room where Xiao Qi comes in in armor/white cloak!
Xiao Qi wants Zitan to pay his personal respect to the fallen soldiers who got killed in the plot. Zitan first refuses to do so, saying a King should not do so and he would send a representative insteadt. Ziao Qi insists, and is supported first by General Song (his old time subordinate) then by the rest of the officials in the palace. So the King yields.
I almost agree 1000% with all the elements above, my only concern : give the female lead a little more of backbones.…
I have watched all 63 episodes, the behaviour of Awu is , for me, as expected from a female (an courageous and smart one, too), of a noble family all this time, she is not cunning or vindictive and tends to give the benefit of the doubt (eg, she didn't yell or criminalize her maid for drugging her as soon as she saw her, not even she remembers what the Hulan prince had said about her being a spy). I think she is terrific in the last 10 episodes or so when ZQ has less appearances. Anyway, I have read somewhere that there are still plots and battles in the coming episodes, let's see how things play out.
This drama is a masterpiece, the cinematography, the script, the production, the directing, the cast and the cinematography are top notch. In fact they took years to bring this project to viewers, Zhan Zi Yi and Zhou Yi Wei are a powerful couple on screen, they are perfect for each other in this drama. This drama is currently the top web cdrama worldwide.
In episode 61, what was in the decree Xiao Qi took from Wang Su's hands? From my limited understanding, I know…
The decree says although what happened to the late king and and at the cliff are not clear yet, the king takes into consideration the services of ZQ in the past and allows him to enter into the capital for now, but he is not allowed to serve in the court or to claim back his title.
At the beginning, I feel awkward to see ZZY acting a 15 year old. I read that in China many viewers don’t like…
I think it is so bias, unjust to criticize ZZY playing the role of a 15 year old girl, can you think of any young actress who can take on this role so magnificently as ZZY does? Even the lines, the dialogues in the script are written for a mature person, no way a 15 year old girl can think like that or act as she is required to do in the script. The producer and the Director got the best person playing the role of the princess, and the most suitable mate for the male lead, can you imagine ZYW play the role of the husband to somone young with little experience?
XQ when back to the capital, overheard that the new king granted pardon to all crimes yet it did not stop whatever…
:) :) Yes, I saw that scene, too, in a clip. I can't explain away where his troop comes from either, I guess those beheaded were those stationed in the palace, and he might still have men scattered some place near his camp back home. I have a feeling too that the last 11 episodes will be so packed that we won't be able to breathe much, ha ha. Have a great evening. Catch up another time.
XQ when back to the capital, overheard that the new king granted pardon to all crimes yet it did not stop whatever…
Apparently not, though we can't tell the difference between the capital city front gate and the front gate of his household, but the men with the lady serving dinner did mention that Awu might either have gone back to XQ household, or captured in Hulan, so that shows that was not his household.
The couple that were kneeling in front of Awu are the couple who Awu and Xiao Qi saw when they took a trip in…
Non c'è problema. E' un piacere. As regards the couple, they have not said anything about happy Awu, yet. But thy did mention that they tried to escape several times. You must have also noticed Awu personal guard is still alive (I like this character, so loyal and courageous), so yes, ,may be they will put theirs heads together to work out an escape plan :) Dobuku, net will upload more episodes this coming Thursday, can't wait!!
XQ when back to the capital, overheard that the new king granted pardon to all crimes yet it did not stop whatever…
I forgot one part, while XQ also learnt by listening to the lady and her customers that Awu escaped from the palace, and she might have either gone back to his home camp or was being held captive in Hulan.
in Hulan.
