It's not related to gender per say but more of whose position she's there to replace. What irritates me is that the subs keep showing ML calling her Shorty when it's clearly Kiddo/Kid that he's saying. If you have watched ep 5, you'll see that they respect her and consider her a valuable member of the team.

Yeah, but the dubbed voice sounds so close to his original tho. Maybe he took lessons and improved on his accent? It is all studio dubbed, but whose voice? His or someone else is what I'm trying to find. Because in one of his recent interviews he spoke quite well and the voice matched with the dubbing here. But the sync is so off that it looks weird regardless of whose voice it is

I've caught up to ep12 and I could swear they're trying to set up Petch with Poom with the amount of screen time they get together.
