I am halfway through, but I agree with you. I used to cover environmental issues, and the whole wrangling with govt officials, business interests and community pressures and how the environment ends up becoming the last priority is pretty accurate 😅

Such strength! I'm slowly plodding through House of Ninjas, Joy of Life and Judge Dee's Mystery thanks to an incredibly busy week at work that leaves me, at the end of the day, face first into my sofa without turning on the TV lol. Tell me how it goes!

I don't think I can binge White Cat to be honest. It's too silly at times and the comedy isn't my thing, but I like the lead actor whatshisname and am curious about his backstory. So far, that's the only thing going for me lol

Hahah. My 'not for me list' will probably all dramas being squeed over by Cdrama folks. The Till the End of the Moons, THe Hidden Loves, The Love Between Fairy and Devil ... probably just mostly idol dramas, really. Though I do like a few of them like Love and Redemption and Mysterious Lotus Casebook.

I don't know, cos actors do that all the time with their characters. Cheng Yi did that with Li Lianhua and penned the same kind of message. To me it's still not proof of his demise 😂 also showed the weibo post to my Chinese reading friend and she said that it just seems like a statement of patriotism. So we are both convinced they are alive 😂

Hmm I guess if someone actually comes out and say it was tacked on, yeah it's a mistake. But honestly, when I saw the ending, I really thought it was so fitting and poetic they ended it that way hahaha.

Haha until I see it I guess I won't believe it. I don't know, the weibo post was vague to me. 😆 But if it's easier to believe they all died so be it, then the 5 min thing is utterly weird. Maybe they tacked it on to satisfy those who want a happy ending at the last minute after all 😆 I stubbornly choose to believe they are alive. Otherwise that last few min just doesn't make sense lol
