SOMETIMES, YOU REALLY JUST HAVE TO WATCH FOR YOURSELF INSTEAD OF RELYING ON THE COMMENTS.I only checked the reviews…
I'm not sure why it's attracting so much negativity. Then again, it's MDL. If there are not enough kissy scenes, the crowd will be angry lol. It's not that kind of drama, geez. Anyway, it's ok to me. it has lots of flaws, but not bad enough to make me give up on it.
Liu Xueyi is great as usual but OMG the person who dubbed him is TAKING ME OUT. Liu Xueyi is one of those actors whom you really shouldn't dub because he's that good. Anyway, the voice actor is not bad, but Liu Xueyi is actually better! (The VA doesn't hit the same emotional highs and tensions like LXY can.)
I'm also so used to Liu Xueyi's voice that my brain refused to accept this voice lol. It doesn't help that I've watched two of his dramas back to back A Moment But Forever and Love Never Fails. The disconnect is real lol
To answer the most oft-asked question on MDL: Yes, it does have romance.
But by god, if you're all about CP vibes and sweet kissy moments, please move on.
This xianxia pretends hard to be cookie cutter, but like its main characters, it lures you in with a false front to reveal a complex, moving and painful tale.
There was a lot of things wrong with Feud, but there was also a lot of things it did absolutely, wonderfully right.
I didn't expect much, but after completing the drama, the story has stayed with me and I'm unwilling to be parted with its characters. If you want something more contemplative, a drama that makes you think. It's not an award-winner by any means, but it surprised me with its depth at times.
This is a drama that you either get it, or didn't get it. I loved it. I think of this as an experience, stepping…
In the end, he's still not completely cured. His beloved alter is still there. Did he need to be cured? I say, no. Perhaps he needed her to be functional in the world, and who is to say that his way of living isn't the right way even if it's not like everyone else's? in the end, they're both happy. tho if he ends up creating an alter of their kid, it's gonna get a wee crowded in there

Me in my crusade in trying to get more people to watch a drama about banking. Because, honestly, it's not as scary boring as you think! My review will tell you why:
was watching it and for some reason I didn't realise she was there! π Thanks for reminding me, I will continue the story. (it got a bit dark and sad for me so π₯²)
Here's my Love Never Fails review. It was tough rating this one. In many ways I really enjoyed this drama, but I have to concede that its writing had serious flaws even if I think the leads' acting is top-notch.
Also, I think by MDL standards, this rating is criminal. It deserves an 8 at least ;D.
Honestly, I feel like the ending was more OE. So subject to interpretation. I think there were a lot of flaws,…
I mean normal people would think this way but these are crazy producers we're talking about lol. But anyway, in my hear ti's a kind of happy ending because that last shot of the butterflies flying around Yuan Zhong was Tanyin in energy form, finally able to signal that she's still there with him forever.
In the novel, one day she returns to him, running towards him in spirit form, and the next thing we know, grew herself a body from an immortal lotus from a remnant of divine energy she left in him. (She did that in Episode 6). The foreshadowing was laid out already so I don't see how it wouldn't be fulfilled. Since she's always had inventive ways of dealing with seemingly impossible situations, I don't see how a lack of a body would be a problem for her lol. (There's a lotus pond next to Yuan Zhong's cottage by the way.)

tell me about it. I think there was a lot of internal politics in production and I won't be surprised if some executive interfered and did this. I also don't think the writer would've written such an ending. Judging by the way she wrote the story it would've been an unconventional ending not a typical xianxia open ending. my theory is the producers like these types of endings because it provokes lots of after drama discussions on social media. It's annoying but that's how it is. Still, to me it is obviously a happy ending and there are many signs that point to the fact that she will come back.

FYI the scriptwriter came out to say that they actually had an epilogue happy scene but chose not to show it and stuck with this ending. so I would say yes you are right, she did come back and if it werent for the insanity of this production we would've had the extra episode. π«
Actually I consider this a happy ending. If they had changed the last few minutes irredeemably probably not but this actually follows the novel!! You should read it. In the novel, Yuanzhong ends up alone for a while like our TV version. Tanyin was formless, basically everywhere and anywhere like the deity said, but always longing to return to him. One day, out of sheer will, she flows back to him. Remember that divine energy she gave Yuanzhong in episode six? That divine energy leapt out of Yuan Zhong's body one day and formed a new body for her from an immortal lotus. (I don't think it's a coincidence at all that her Master gave him a green lotus energy thing back then.) Eventually, Wushuang's spirit, sensing her divine energy, entered her new body and they are finally together. To me the ending is seamless with the novel's, especially with her voice saying at the end, I promise you, I will always be with you.I think the writer chose to end it there because, well, imagine seeing Yuanzhong suffer a bit more after the battle, pining for her. It wouldn't have been as ... satisfying?anyway, read the novel. it will make sense. And the extras are beautiful tee hee (they finally had their wedding night)
Well itβs a happy ending for me cause she can come back and they will meet again atleast. She isnβt perished…
Yup, it flows seamlessly into the book's ending. Also her voice saying, I promise you, I will always be by your side, I will return. in the novel, her will to be with Yuan Zhong was so strong she found a way to break free from the pull of the primordial spirits and reunite with Yuan Zhongbut seriously would it have killed them to show a teeny bit of reunion?? lol
Iβve never watched a fantasy drama before and have a question about the ending. So is she alive and her physical…
