you should try xiaohongshu (Red Note). while it is in Chinese there's English translation. The information on MDL isn't accurate sometimes and certainly not as up to date. also, the discussions on xhs is very deep and interesting! (Weibo is a bit of a cesspool so avoid)

It is SOOOO frustrating. Like our brains are literally wired differently. Couldn't really maintain my focus with dramas like The Double etc. Something beautiful, delicate and philosophical appears and it's ignored or downrated. BAH. (Just being pissy tonight especially since tonight's episode was so good *sobs*)
Sigh, first time I'm annoyed with an MDL rating. I know that MDL favours mostly traffic actors or idol dramas, but this is ridiculous, especially since much of Chinese social media adores this drama to the point where the drama, devoid of any promotional budget, is being promoted by the "tap water" audience. Sometimes it's really frustrating, watching the big difference in taste between international fans and Chinese audiences. To keep myself sane I'll just retreat back to Chinese social media where the cognitive dissonance isn't as bad! lol ;)

I think it's best not to believe the melon news anymore. iQiyi just released it's roster for Dec and A Moment but Forever is not there. most probably it'll be for next year. if it comes, good, it'll be a lovely surprise, but right now it's just gossip and hot air
This drama is so good that the rating is criminal. I think, however, this is not a drama for casual cdrama viewers who want romance, CPs and what not. it's actually deeply philosophical and probably needs some understanding of Chinese philosophy and worldview to truly appreciate. I feel rather sad that it has been so quickly dismissed by so many. 🥴
