I kinda get why novel readers would be upset about the drama not following the novel, since it already went in a different direction at the beginning of the mortal arc... instead of Tantai Jin's intro, it was Xiao Lin's. Though his saving LSS would connect to GJW's earlier sacrifice, novel readers wouldve been expecting to see TTJ. (I read the novel after I watched the drama soooo wasn't bothered) **i remember not noticing BL's blackheads since i thought that was part of the dirt on her face **Chuntao is cute, although that was too much narrative given to her, just to rush things along. 4. ...to add at the opening theme, i liked that it focused more on the story rather than the actors, which is nice.
2. THAT ENTRANCE. Will always be unforgettable. It truly established the menace of the Devil God, and when he replied to Zhaoyou about being worse than dogs or pigs by not being able to feel anything, it is kinda terrifying yet sad at the same time. Terrifying because nothing can stop this DG from destroying anything he wants (one snap of his fingers destroyed a great barrier on an entire sect), yet sad because...he doesn't know how to feel anything. The entire sequence told you everything about Li Susu's mission when she comes to the mortal world 500 years before. (Plus, that one second when DG looks at the camera was...🥶 but🤩 at the same time😅) ***Zhaoyou and Qu Xuanzi is friendship goals, and I remember being smitten by Gongye Jiwu at the start😅.. his selflessness in sacrificing himself for Susu was endearing, though i rather thought falling over a cliff when both of them can fly was kinda....weird? Why u do that?

Hi! I just also finished rewatching a while ago but I needed time to gather my thoughts...😅 am still in awe of that first episode and I reaffirmed to myself that it was really love at first sight..🤣😍
1. I couldn't skip the opening song no matter how many times I've watched and listened to it... the melody and the lyrics drew me in, like they were telling me that this will be a story unlike any other. Plus the drawings were significant enough that you'd take note of certain images, like the world overtuning jade, the tear from the demon god, the fight between the lovers, sang jiu saving ming ye... laying out what to expect from the story. The last drama I watched was Blue Whisper, and I was kinda expecting to see the usual listing of cast and the actors' faces on some sort of moving pictures, but I was pleasantly surprised the opening went manhwa style with the actors's faces only slightly resembling the drawings, thst i remember thinking at first that this is based on a manhwa. Although, on hindsight, looking at the pieces they put together at the start, i wonder, could the first part of the originally intended two-part series be only up until the tower scene? And the second part starting at the immortal arc? 🤔

I don't think anybody's going to let go of this drama anytime soon.. as LYX said there's a lot of ideas in this story that can be unpacked that can sustain a lot of discussions and conversations for a long time... aside from the excellent craftsmanship of course (acting, cgi, costume, cinematography....) so Cheers everybody who's still here 🥂🍻🥳🥳 to 69K and beyond!

Though I have no complaints about how LYX played out the aftermath of LSS's death, I kinda wanted more of the despair that TTJ had in the novel when he tried to carry LSS while crying out over and over again "What am I going to do? Who can help me save her?".... If only this radio drama clip had english subs....but I followed throguh with what I remember from the novel and.....it still broke me.😭
