This scene with LSS and TTJ talking about the realities of life as represented by the woman selling fireworks is so poignant. LSS talks with the empathy of a kind soul, while TTJ states the cold harsh truth of reality. They truly balance each other out, and yes, help each other become more than being benevolent goddess and cruel devil god.
If there's one moment that I can pinpoint when TTJ fell in love with LSS, it's this.โค๏ธThe way his face and words soften when LSS looks disheartened about the reality of what he said is heartwarming.
awww... YQY and PR's scenes are so cute... Awkward YQY puts on lipstick for PR (while being stalked by his sister!) and can't answer properly when she asks if she's pretty๐
Wait... he doesn't retrieve his cloak, does he?๐คฃ
of course Chun Tao has to be saddled with the shopping while her mistress plays around๐
Nian Baiyu appears!! Ahhh.. what could have happened if NBY remained as serious as he is in this introductory episode all throughout the drama? He wouldn't be fun of course.๐
I actually fell asleep while I was watching this hence the short comment, so I'm back here again to pick up where I left.
Is it just to emphasize that LSS is going to buy TTJ new clothes, or was his original wardrobe only consisting of only three pieces - the black-and-red formal occasion, the light blue one with the bat crown, and that thin summery but worn out robe? I just thought TTJ was getting better clothes after LSS gave the violet coat, and that we've seen the last of the poor Hostage Prince robes. Turns out I was wrong.
And yes, I second TinyMoose's comment: Xixi does a very elegant, very charismatic runway walk everytime! ๐
Hey hey Moonies!! Time for our 2nd anniversary rewatch!๐ Tune in to Episode 9 (which in my opinion is the best episode ever๐๐คฉ) and experience again the power of "I save you, you save me" drama!๐
Hey hey Moonies!! Time for our 2nd anniversary rewatch (however you do it๐ ๐)!๐ Tune in to Episode 8 and drop your thoughts below! (not into the Mohe River๐ ๐คฃ)
Hey hey Moonies! Time for our 2nd anniversary rewatch!๐ Tune in to Episode 7 and let's escape the Sheng Kingdom together! (Preferably not under water tho.๐ )
ok, I'm starting this time.... LSS teaches TTJ the Sketch Charm in order to teach him how to think good things,…
yep, we need more Senior Monnies for this๐ From what I understand from this and from reading The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, the immortal/divine bone could only be cultivated if you have the ability for it, and not just by being good all the time (hello immorons later on who judged Cang Jiumin harshly). and even if you have the immortal bone, you could be corrupted too hence the devilizing of some immortals later on (like Gongye Jiwu), and hence the term for corrupted immortals being devil instead of demon (which are I think beings originally animals and plants(?) who cultivated themselves into a higher form of being). Having the immortal bone doesn't necessarily mean you're good, but rather you followed the immortal path that should lead you to do good things. It doesn't exactly ensure that good things will only happen to you, but only ensures your actions are ruled by goodness.
The evil bone on the other hand is the sole property of the Devil God, and thus if TTJ loses it, he's simply a mortal. Yes, the evil bone amplifies every evil thing that can possibly happen to TTJ because his suffering is how it gains power later on for TTJ to become fully DG, but it doesn't have an effect on his soul unless he lets it (as proven by the Sketch charm, he does have goodness in him not polluted by the evil bone).

We need some senior Moonies for the mythology of the evil bone / divine bone, because I think yes, somehow you need to have some innate ability to cultivate an immortal bone, but I'm not sure...
I think what she said could have different meanings.. you're right that the immortal bone is for cultivating and for being immortal but yes it also allows for 'good' magic to be used because following the Heartless Dao to be immortal/become a god means you have purity and goodness in your soul, as opposed to having the devil bone which only lets in evil and therefore makes you do evil magic too. LSS is I think thinking that no matter what TTJ does, he'll never activate the Sketch charm because 1) he has the devil bone and thus couldn't think pure things, which are what activates the Sketch charm, and 2) yes, he doesn't and cannot cultivate an immortal bone because the devil bone prevents him from doing so. She was thinking that once she removes the evil bone from him, he could only become mortal.
But as TTJ shows, he could activate the Sketch charm because he does have an innate goodness in his soul too despite the evil bone, proving LSS wrong. If she had just stayed awake๐, she might have believed in TTJ a little bit more.
