Understandable on his side coz he doesn't see GZY as capable and only see him as a stubborn kid. But at times like this where they're facing a big dilemma as a family, a true leader should set aside his personal goal/feelings and not use it as a challenge for the title. Let a man's actions speak for himself.

Probably. Although I think Huan Yu has something that GSJ perhaps doesn't have/possess to be proclaimed the next successor. It was mentioned everyone still voted for Huan Yu despite GSJ also being a capable one. Maybe he lacks one thing for him to be befitting of the title, Young Lord.

GZY and YWS's romance is just like eating candy. You need to let it melt in your mouth to fully enjoy it, it isn't overwhelmingly sweet... just right ~

Aigoo... when can these Gong bros actually join hands and work together? Everyone is dying around their family one by one and yet GSJ is still hell-bent on his personal agenda. I still can't make him out, whether he's actually a good or a bad person or if he cares about his bloodline or not. Does he actually want to be a Sword Wielder that bad or he's merely challenging Zi Yu if he's up to the task?

So many guessing games in this drama and no one can be trusted.

That thought also came to mind, as we know they only send female assassins from Wufeng.

So far, that Lady Ji Wu vanished for most of the eps after the death of GZY's father and brother. She kinda seems sus to me, esp. her statement the night both died. And looks like from the preview of Ep 7, we'll get to see her again.

With no one to protect, even a family, ofc GZY is gonna be whipped for YWS 😊 Now that he has someone to protect, I can't wait for him to come back from his trial and show what he got.
