Am not really sure. But from the earlier eps, he did have more screen time, imo. But I think now we're getting more of Xuan coz of his battle for the throne. I didn't read the novel so Idk how much he'll appear in the upcoming eps and in Season 2.
I feel sad for XL coz he will never experience the warmth a love can offer. The story about him pretending as FFB just to care of the mother is so heartwarming. In a way, even for a brief moment, he was able to experience what it is to have a mother/family.

Also, the scene between him and XY at the beginning of Ep. 25 is the nail in the coffin for XL. I think from here on out, he would never dare covet XY's love.
