Which is why everyone should watch the prequel, hence why it's called prequel, before watching this one. I also thought they might have filmed OaO first but when they said it's the other way around, I was a bit surprised.

I know what you mean if it's this fast, but I think it would probably be more of them against all odds, as we see Sheng Chen's family will become an obstacle. I haven't read the novel so I'm just guessing from all the trailers.

After watching OaO, no one would dare complain how fast they are progressing here (≧∀≦)

Personally, you should watch One and Only first. So that you would understand and would enjoy this much more esp. the connection between the main leads and why they deserve this "second chance" in life ~
