No wonder he looks too young to me when he was first introduced. I just feel like he became a bit mature looking as the episodes go by. I also just learned he's in Song of Youth, Bai Lu's other currently airing drama. His very first drama.

I'm assuming because of love, two person will change. Crown Prince, who will become a big villain because of it. And Sheng Chen who will abandon his oath and go against his own principles.

The spar between Sheng Chen and the monk is so nice ~ the fighting scenes in this drama are more natural.

LOL.. apparently Allen Ren is trending on Weibo because of the vow his character made in Ep. 1, people telling him to not say the vow. He even posted a pic of Sheng Chen in that scene with like a tape with captions, "I won't say it" in his mouth (≧∀≦)

Bai Lu is indeed the perfect FL for this, since the acting has to solely rely on expressions as she's mute.

I'm still kinda not used watching Cdramas with this type of a setting with all the palaces stuff, bowing, and the elegance... LOL.. am too used only in Kdramas.

Do you know if the drama actually follows the novel plot?
