I'm glad to see Seo In Guk gaining more followers in his IG. When I first followed him way back in 2018, it's still under 1M and even before DAYS started. But now, I can see how he gained almost 800K and counting now ~ so proud of him. I feel like he's so underrated compared to a lot of other popular actors out there.
The martial law just reminded me of what happened in my own country as well. Didn't experience it, my parents did. But, it was definitely awful. Freedom was taken and lots of people gone missing. Such a scary thought thinking if we experience such thing.
I was about to say, I hope I can see both MH and HT in their medical profession doing something together, and now we're gonna see that in the next episode. I think that's why their characters are both in the medical field because they will be of great help to the victims of the uprising. So rather than thinking this will end in tragedy, I wanna think it's more about hope. I wanna cling to what the priest said, "If a door closes, another one always opens. It may seem dark at first, but a door will open soon." Esp. since I don't think this was ever centered about the Gwangju Uprising, but the struggles of each of the characters.
BUT, again, if the writer decided to kill off the characters, I would rather see both dying together rather than one left behind suffering. In the first place, why would they die? There's Hwang Ki Nam who deserves that. The whole nation will probably rejoice if he's gone.
P.S. I hope Jin Ah survives ~ we don't need another trauma for HT to go through.
I love how some people are blaming HT/ MH for knowingly going into a dangerous relationship. Imagine out of nowhere…
Wait, there are people who actually blames them?.. lol... I mean, you just can't because if you were in their shoes and all your entire life, there's nothing real or happy about it, and then you meet this someone who makes you feel whole or real, wouldn't you risk it all? It's like choosing between a long unhappy life or a short-lived but real one, wouldn't you prefer the latter? Coz I would in a heartbeat ~~
So... 3 points to look forward to on the 2nd half...
1. 1980s Romeo & Juliet Lee Dohyun X Go Minsi, what is their fate? 2. Kim Myunghee was kidnapped, was it Hwang Kinam's plan? 3. The pain of the upcoming times, the youth of the 1980s hanging underneath it.
Day by day, Soo Ryeon is being consumed by cowardness while Hee Tae and Myung Hee are moving towards fortitude. If something were to happen to MH, it will be SR's fault. One lie can be someone's doom.
Although I was expecting that last scene, I jumped out of my seat when Myung Hee's head was just covered. Esp. when it was shown the two guys behind her walking and kinda joking around, only to know they're the ones who's gonna abduct her. It just scared the hell out of me. So realistic. I just hope nothing serious is gonna happen to her. And I just hate HT's dad, ugh.
I came here to after knowing she's gotten married ~ huhu... I feel like I'm also being left behind by my childhood actors/actresses getting married.. CONGRATS ~
Not realy because it's number one in it's time slot which means that not alote of people watch tv at that time…
Maybe you're right, saw the last top buzz dramas and it's on top. Perhaps if it ain't a Monday-Tuesday slot, it might do much more well in terms of ratings. I know it's on top but it would be nice if it reflects on the ratings more, for the actors and prod involved.
