I too am just excited when I finally saw the news. I'm just happy to see someone share some updates 'cause I know it's really hard to get news articles of J-movies or dramas, still a struggle for me until now as a Jdorama lover. So I'm always grateful for any fansubs/translations ^^.
Mackenyu definitely is not the best yet in terms of acting, but I can definitely see his improvement. I actually first watched him in Chihayafuru but didn't catch my attention yet..until Todome no Kiss. And yeah, he really is such an eye candy .. HAHA...
Wow, the people really don't like Arimura that much, huh? Well, I think the movie wouldn't go as far as show the sex scene though, it might not be explicitly shown or probably wouldn't be included. What I actually wanna see at the end of the movie is them showing Kaoru and Kenshin married.. hehe.. I hope that's not too much to ask for^^.
I don't think people can really do anything as of now if it is indeed Arimura taking the role since the filming already ended. As long as she can portray her role well, I don't see the problem.

Wow, since his debut? That early, huh... I watched him from Todomo No Kiss and I realize he suit those kind of roles. And speaking of his build, I can see it from his movie Overdrive. I'm not sure if it's because of his half foreign blood but am glad to see a Japanese actor with that kind of body since I usually see those J-actors in a slim bod.
