What if XL did not kill his character as FFB? Dang, so many scenarios going in my mind and that’s because of…
I was actually surprised when he said FFB and XY should marry instead. For real, tho, when it comes to XL, as a viewer, there's lots of what-ifs for us and yet what's more saddening is XL himself won't even allow himself any what-ifs.
I'm crying with XY after learning FFB is gone for good 😭😭 Gone is the FFB who would play with XY and the person who taught her to protect herself. As TJC said, XL is XL and he will ultimately do what he's supposed to do. And the things that FFB could do, he can no longer do 🤧
Fang Feng Bei, you will be greatly missed. May you be as free as you were wherever you are ~
I think XY looks more beautiful in those red clothes while she was waiting by the ocean for seven days than in her wedding dress.... looking as if she's waiting for her knight in shining armor to sweep off her feet. Unfortunately for her, her reality isn't as simple and romantic as that.
PWS getting possessed in that boat scene 🤣 Somehow understandable coz it was prolly all the pent-up frustrations he has even from their past lives. At least he was quick to ask for forgiveness coz he himself can't believe he's done that.
And this SRQ dude, he's just digging his own grave... tsk, tsk.
Wait, in S2 episode 2, when XL/FFB and XY walk across the bridge in daylight... there are unlit lanterns strung…
That "This is as far as I can take you. Ahead of you is your world." is also very telling. XL can accompany XY to most places and show her the vast oceans, but at the end of the day, he can never accompany her at the very end of the road. Just like they were both standing in the middle of the bridge, XL didn't go all the way with her to the end of it, instead, he returned after leading her to the middle and then left her there.
One thing that's compelling about XL is there's no what-ifs. Even if indeed he's given a chance to choose a different path, he won't. His path is as straight as an arrow. Sure, he may take a few detours here and there, but that won't deter his destination. He's a goal-driven lad. He's simply living in the moment and what life can offer him. He knows what he's doing and the consequences that come with it.
He can love someone, but he won't give himself up for love.

Maybe in another life.
