The reason why he broke into that smile after he hushed the audience is because someone in the audience shouted "Wang Yibo, you're not coming out yet?". It's because they were gonna sing Wuji but XZ was waiting on Yibo lol. Yibo appeared shortly after. Kudos to that fan, 'cause we would have missed such a cute moment from XZ lol.

Ah, okay, I see where the confusion is. Former and latter are used to describe an item's place in a sentence. The secondary meaning or usage would be what you've described in your response about former girlfriends. My intention is the first meaning.

Qiu Ying is in the first place of the previous sentence so former in the second sentence refers to her. It's really to avoid repeating her name in the second sentence.

One thing I did notice about the character descriptions in Chinese wikipedia is that they don't include ages. Many dramas do so, but not this one. So it does make me wonder what their ages are. Perhaps it's written in the book. I need to read it to find out if that's the case.

I agree very much with you about Miya being the “push” JXK needed in order to realize his feelings, which is one of the many reasons why I like Miya.

Agree for the most part. I rooted for Phoenix and Jinmi but also felt really bad for Run Yu. His childhood was just a tragic story waiting to be told. There was a lot of controversy around Run Yu's extra scenes when the drama was airing. I was sympathetic and empathetic, but his back story could been shortened. On the other hand, there were many folks that complained about Phoenix being one-dimensional, and I thought that was also unfair. If they could flesh out Run Yu's backstory in so many episodes, why couldn't they have given more focus to Phoenix as well? Nothing to do with the actors, but there was a lot of fishy stuff going on with the writers anyway. I remember they were dragged by netizens on weibo for adding scenes for Run Yu.

I agree that WYB is too skinny, but he does have muscles. He also looks stunning in blue and white, plus the long hair and all.

One thing I keep in mind whenever I do think he's too skinny is that he is also a pro motorcycle racer with Yamaha, and less weight equals to more horsepower on a motorcycle.

Haven't read the original work but there are folks who have and they're saying the drama is gayer than the novel. Having completed 45 episodes so far, I can tell you the bromance tag is kinda ironic at this point.

I’m not familiar with esports but I thought all they did in GGS was just talk about training, go into training and then all we saw was Tong Nian appearing all the time. It’s one reason why I put GGS on hold when I reached ep 17 and started GYH. Haven’t gotten to King’s Avatar yet (heard Yang Yang’s dubber doesn’t match him and who needs to dub YY in a modern series anyway).
