Naaaah I think they're both in the wrong. There's no such thing as a "bigger" cheater. They both did wrong and they both should have ended it. The trust is no longer there. and I think the cracks have been there for years. Her finding out he cheated was the catalyst. Either way, he is a toxic person for manipulating her for 10 years to be the exact wife he wants her to be, possessive and manipulative. I can understand her wanting to try again for the sake of the 10 year relationship and also being guilt tripped by literally her asshole fiance and also her parents.

He's so possessive. He basically manipulated her for 10 years to be his trophy wife. every time he orders for her or tells her to do this and that when she has made it clear many times that's not what she wants, i get the shivers. such a toxic person. And he even admitted moulding her to become who he wants her to be by his side! And he's possessive too.

hmmmm I'm not sure. To me, their chemistry is burning. the stares especially the ML shows yearning and longing at least for me. Intense love had amazing chemistry as well but I feel like this drama has a more ?darker vibe to it if that makes sense. My go to insanely intense crazy chemistry lead couple is still from YAMG of course.

Honestly, I'm liking that she does not fall or swoon for the ML straight away. She's sticking to her guts. and it's not as easy in real life to break away from a 10 year relationship even if it's a toxic one. and like the FL mentioned in the show, she does not know what she wants but she knows what she does not want. The main leads have INSANE chemistry with each other but she still needs to figure out if he's really IT for her because she has been burned before. and we can see her thought process when she mentioned that he is a nice,charming guy but guys like this are better to be seen from a distance. She's just being protective of herself and tbh, isn;t that what we do as well in reality? you don't want to jump straight away into a relationship after getting out of one. And I like that they include scenes from the main lead's POV as well when he's deep in thought and drinking. When they get together, my screen is gonna explode for sure.

I loved OnO. I understood how they fell in love with each other's characters. but the ZSC in FnE and in OnO I feel like they're two completely different people. And I'm talking about like inner character. she supposedly fell in love with him at first sight because she "saw" his bones. but the bones are not the same at all! when I read the novel, I don't remember feeling like this. In fact, I understood how and why she would have chosen ZSC over and over again. I don;t know if it's the author who wrote him like this in the drama or if it's allen's potrayal of the character but something just does not fit. the magic of OnO is not there.

Dude, I never said I didn't like his character. I said in comparison to the novel which the author is also the screenwriter of the drama, I feel like I like him better there..... He's respectful, shy and innocent in the novel too but there are tiny differences in his character in the novel that my heart kinda radiates towards, more than the drama.

Yes this was my issue as well. Shiyi supposedly fell in love with him on sight and his character because they're reincarnations of their past lives but he's nothing like the general on one and only. I like his character better in the novel but I like their relationship with each other better here in the drama

Okay, I have finally caught up to the latest episode. imo, I think I like novel chen more than drama chen. They made his character here like waaaay passive and more timid and shy then the novel. In the novel, to me, he was innocent and reserved but never timid and naive. In fact, I would say he's a little mischevious and a bit of a rascal once shiyi gets to know him. I still like the flow of the drama and both characters in the drama a lot but was a wee bit disappointed in his characterisation here. Shi yi is spot on and great in the drama and novel!

The styling on bai lu here is so gorgeous. she looks so ladylike. not that she's not gorgeous before but damnnnnn she's glowing.

They changed it! I was wondering how they're gonna add this element into the drama because of china's cencorship laws and everything

Bai Lu looks super beautfiful in the trailer. with this hairstyle, she looks extra gorgeous. I'm so excited to watch this drama. Can't wait to see if there are any changes between the drama and novel as well. since they did change some stuff in one and only.

this is soooo heartbreaking to watch. I cried buckets in ep 16 and also ep 23. I'm so grateful there's a modern sequel. Such good actors. They act with their eyes. does anyone know where I can read the novel in english?

Are song of youth and stand by me good? I've seen mixed reviews of both and I'm very hesitant to start.

I'm gonna wait for the modern sequel of one and only to come out before watching that one. Don't think I can take it. Have not heard about the others. will check it out.

saaaame. It's so hard to find main leads who do not annoy me. Some of the characters are written like 5 year olds and that never fails to annoy me!

I am sooooo sad. I have nothing to look forward to anymore. such a simple yet complex drama at the same time. One of the best modern C-dramas I've watched to this day. Applause to the whole team of YAMG. I will be rewatching this over and over again. What is everyone watching next?
