Ok I am actually loving this. Went in with no expectations at all. But I'm loving the writing, the pace and of course, the chemistry. I especially like the characterisation of the FL and ML.

So does anyone know who will rule the world in the end? Hao Chu has been sticking to his script of "When I rule the world in the future...." so it seems a bit foreshadowing it will be him but both the main leads have mentioned how they want to protect their people and have peace in a unified world. So I don't know who will rule in the end.

But when everyone found out Feng Lanxi is Hei Feng Xi, it was a "wow" moment. Even for all the characters. If there was nothing spectacular about her identity, then she would not have to run around using a different name for years and she didn't even reveal her identity herself to HFX. He found out himself. I guess i thought there should be something there and it was a bit of a let down. Like opportunity wasted. And I guess they really didn't have the time to waste as they're rushing to close the final arc now.

Throughout all the episodes and we were waiting for the big reveal of her identity and they skipped it just like that. Damn. I thought it was gonna have way more impact than that. And after the whole feng ju and baili arc, the pace is feeling a little rushed already. It's like someone switched directors or scriptwriter after 34 episodes.

Can anyone spoil if FL's identity as the princess has been revealed? I have not watched this week's episode cause I wanna binge them all.

Okay at this point, I want to start seeing the FL's arc. PLEASE!!! We are 3/4th through the series. When is everyone gonna find out who she really is!

To me, even if let's say they ended up potraying actual history about the NK spies and everything, you hate the plot, don't watch, you don't mind it, watch. It's so simple. You're offended, don't watch and move on. Whether it does well, it doesn't do well, if it tanks or it's a hit, won't even do anything for us. There are so many fictional shows that have taken creative liberties with actual history that happened be it from Korea, the US or UK. No need to invest so much time and energy into hating a show, like why?

I feel like this has been blown way out of proportion. I understand why some people are offended by the topic of this drama and the characters they're potraying. but imagine if this was produced by the US and had asian american actors as the cast. The hatred would have been way more subdued. At this point, you can either watch and enjoy or just don't watch it and go somewhere else. No need to harp on about educating people and how we should empathise and sympathise with them. I bet you most of them have read up on it and have been updating themselves on the history. It's up to them what to do with the information and knowledge that they have. Watch or don't watch. easy.

The problem is I have to make time to start watching a drama. That's why I'm very picky XD because I don't wanna waste time on something that I will eventually drop but I think I'll try this one and see. So far, I've seen very polarising reviews on the first episode and that always seems like a good basis to start a drama.

can anyone reveal how was the first episode for them? I could not care less about jisoo being the main character. I'm talking more about story and plotwise if it's written well and the flow. Also, I could not really feel any chemistry between the main leads in the interviews that they've done from what I've seen so far. So, I would like to know if that translates on screen as well in character?
