I think ying yuan is actually a naughty michevious guy (we can see this everytime he flips the tortoise or how he quarrels with yan dan) but because he's one of the sovereign lords and hes lived for thousands of years, he needs to maintain a certain image and also he gets bored easily. when he becomes TZ I think he will finally shine and able to show his actual personality.

I think he will pretend that it's zhixi and go along with zhixi because he knows severe punishment awaits yan dan if they fall in love. I have a feeling when he opens his eyes like in trailer for ep 11, first person he will see is the sister. and since both of them are from the lotus clan and she disguised her voice to be more like the sister, he will it's the sister who saved him. so sad. the angst is too much.
