okay everyone is talking about the hate comments. Anyone can tell me how are todays episodes? have they moved on from the mortal realm yet? I've put this on hold since I found the mortal arc to be a bit slow. I want the angst to kick in again. I'm in the mood for an ugly crying session.
This drama takes the usual cliche tropes and flip it over ontop of their heads. For example: 1. FL knows ML has plans for war and hates the fairy realm but she doesn't hate him for it because she understands there's two sides to a story. She has never held a grudge against him or his people. 2. FL is innocent and naive at the beginning but she makes actual progress in character!!!! She has matures so much from the first episode. We can see how she learns and adapts to each situation in every episode. Now I would say she's smart! And when have we ever gotten such a decisive FL. When she realised she likes the ML, that's it for her. She likes him, she will sacrifice for him. And she's firm in that even when turning down the SML. 3. WE HAVE A FL WHO PROPOSED FIRST!!!! In Cdramaland guys!!!!!! That's like never seen before. At least for me. I was so shocked and then delighted at the scene!. She was so clear in her intentions too. No beating around the bush. No playing hard to get. 4. FL and ML who sacrifice for each other. Need I say more.... 5. A ML who does not turn into a sap and become stupid after falling in love. I love love love that they retained his charisma, fierce demeanour and intimidating personality since day 1!. We can see that he has indeed changed but for the better. He's still that fierce and powerful king but one who cares for his people and actually shows it! 6. A ML who is not afraid to shout out to everyone that he loves his girl and won't be persuaded otherwise. And how swoon-worthy was that scene. 7. A ML who does not give up on his position and responsibilities for the sake of love. I love that DFCQ still maintains his promises and responsibilities to his people as their ruler but also not giving up on the woman he loves. 8. A SML who rebels against the emperor! Who would have guessed!!! In the beginning, we can see that he was in a dilemma between protecting the fairy realm and pursuing his love but after the mortal arc, he does not give a damn. And I love the growth. 9. Side characters with interesting storylines that contribute to the overall plot. Every one of them plays an important part. Even the villain is a grey character and not fully black and white. 10. The plot twists and turns!!! At this point in the drama, I did not think there will be more surprises but boy, was I wrong. 11. The background score and music hits the right spot every time!!!! 12. The acting is just so good! Dylan wang's every microexpression, posture, intonation and nuance is above par. He embodies DFCQ. I have nothing to add regarding this.
This drama has constantly exceeded my expectations each episode but there are definitely certain epic episodes that stood out for me: ep 9, ep 18 and ep 28. Bonus point: Dylan Wang is so hot! His dubbed voice elevated that by 1000. Him in his moon supreme lord outfits......*nosebleeds*
I really really hope the story will be cohesive until the end and we get an actual ending and not a rushed one. Can't believe there are only 8 episodes left!!!
I just finished watching til the latest eps. I can't organise my thoughts at the moment because there's so many things to unpack but I just have to say it's so good. IT'S SO GOOD!!!! The characterisation, the cohesive storyline and the music is so freaking good!!!! How does it keep getting better after every episode? I won't tolerate any DFCQ or XLH slander over here!!!
I'm finally watching the mortal arc knowing that it's finishing soon and we'll be getting to the FL being a goddess. It's freaking torture to wait but I forced myself!!!
I am so in love with this drama so far. And I really hope they bring back the fight scenes because I want to see ML flexing his powers again and again. Those scenes were just so good plus with the background ost, they hit the right spot. Pure entertainment.
I can't believe this drama only has 36 episodes! Like what?!! We only have 12 episodes left? Will there be enough time for everything? I don't want a rushed ending.
I have to thank whoever is doing the background score and music. It's so good and it hits every scene so far. Also, whoever is the voice actor for DFQC, like damn boyyyy....the hotness level goes up by 50% and that's saying something cause Dylan Wang is already so hot.
Chidi woman won the war right? But why was she punished to mortal realm? Can someone clarify?
she sacrificed herself and shattered her primordial spirit in the war. remember DFQC said, technically, she did not win cause she did not beat him, only managed to restrain his body in the tower. Afterwards, she disappeared and no one knew what happened to her. But there are some theories that were previously discussed down below.
Okay so my thoughts on ep 19 and 20.... I hate how they're currently in a silent cold war with each other and are in this state of uncertainty about their feelings, knowing that each is on the other team. On one hand, I like that ML is still true to his character. Still as fierce and bloodthirsty as ever. He's also only soft towards the FL. On the other hand, both of them are plotting and lying to each other 😭. I can't wait to finish the chidi woman arc so we can finally get to the goddess xiyun arc. Dylan Wang is made for DFQC. He's hot but I also just realised the dubbed voice makes him 50% hotter. 😂. Can't wait for the next episodes.

In the first like 7 episodes of this drama, I actually had super strong SLS but it dies down somewhere in ep 9 when during the battle between CH and DFQC, he couldnt walk away from his duty to save the FL when we know DFQC will burn the entire world for her. And whaaat after everything, xunfeng is gonna betray his bro???? noooooooo
One thing I like about this drama is that they focused on the development of the main leads characters and also their relationship. There's no unnecessary focus on other side characters who do not contribute anything towards the progression of the story. So us as viewers can actually see the foundation that has been laid down between the main leads. From this point onwards, the main leads know each other and the others personality.
