I can't...I can't.... There's just so much to unpack here. I even enjoyed the aerospace scenes to see yutu at his best. The bravery of this lady....the courage that she mustered to confess to the SAME guy who REJECTED her 10 years ago just to be shot down again. That utter crushing heartbreak in her expression we can all see. Her trying to restrain herself from crying. When she said she's not gonna ask why this time. I feel like this is it for her, she finally gave up on her crush since high school. finally giving up on her first love. And she has tried so hard, she gave it her all. I loved that since high school, she was never really hung up on him. She had her own life, her own success, her own exes. But when the opportunity rose again for them to be reunited she grabbed it tightly.
And watching the scene with yutu's ex was PAINFUL. She too tried to make an effort for that one last chance so that she does not regret it in the future. Even though all the signs for the both of them were wrong from the start. I'm glad yutu went with brutal honesty and cut through the bullshit and made a clean break for the last time. (in case she doesn't get it in her head that he is not and was not and will never be interested in her)
At the end of ep 16.....oh yutu.... You can see in his face that he MISSES her. and how much. The moment he said she is not a bad person as if to imply "I am the bad one who does not have anything to offer this lovely human being who might possibly be the best in his world". Him trying to keep it in and to not break but in the end proceeded to have a meltdown in front of his close friend anyway because the emotions were just too overwhelming. Who said yang yang can't act!!?!
Tomorrow can't come soon enough. And now I'm gonna rewatch these 2 episodes again. XD
I was smiling throughout episode 13 and 14 (well, until end of ep 14 at least). Their banter is so cute and entertaining at the same time. They are so witty and flirty. And who says yang yang cannot act?! The last 5 mins of ep 14 alone...you can literally feel his discomfort about jingjing's celebrity status, the uneasiness regarding the attention and spotlight and the heaviness in his heart that the time spent together is about to end. Nailed it! The black and white contrast scene between yutu and his surroundings also enhanced the difference between his world and jingjing's world. The 2 episodes went by so fast
after they met each other, at the lobby yutu immediately took out his phone and checked her account and compared it to someone. who did he compared it to and what was the implication of the scene? sorry, the one I watched had no translation for the scene so I did not have any context
Yes. He was very conscious of that. And in real life, things like that do happen. Whenever a famous actor/actress…
Yes what I mean is I'm so surprised the director had the foresight to insert that kind of scene in there. I was amazed. Because usually, they would already switch to another scene.
an amazing detail to note: in ep 9 after they had that fight outside of the restaurant yu tu went to ask the bystander to delete the photos she took of jingjing. That's an amazing detail because it's so realistic! since they were out in the open. I'm so happy the director put the scene in there.
HOW IS THIS A SLOW BURN??? LIKE SERIOUSLY? THEY BOTH HANG OUT TOGETHER, EAT TOGETHER AND SHARE THEIR PROBLEMS…
I think when most of us say slow burn, it actually means realistic. Because most romance dramas have the leads getting together by the third episode, breaking up in the middle because of some stupid misunderstanding and getting together again. We've been burned too many times to count XD
Omg, i didn't even find the romance slowburn,🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 until i read comments saying it's a slowburn😒😒😒😒😒…
I'm guilty of feeling like it's a slow burn because all the dramas I've been watching lately have cliche tropes and they kiss or fall into each other by the third episode. XD so when I got into YAMG, it was a whole new world. And I love it so much because this is how "getting to know each other" actually is like.
The ML doesn't even realise it but he has slowly made way for the FL into his life and I love how this was adapted and showed to viewers. From the conversation with the ex, we assume that he's always too busy for her and his job and his ambition is his life. Also when we get a glimpse of how his colleagues families have all mentioned that being an aerospace engineer is difficult to juggle the work-family life balance. But with the ML, he played games with her outside a restaurant after his dinner and even stopped midway and leaned against a wall to continue playing! And also he extended his vacation to keep his promise and continues hanging out with her. This man who has never taken any leaves before. Even when his close friend is sick and he's worried about him, he made sure to still be around for her. So it's not that he can't prioritise both work and love with the ex, it's just that he hasn't met the right person until jingjing.
