You guys and age gap. She’s 29 not 19.. if it’s going to bother you, I’d advise you watch something else.
Seriously, like they're not only adults, they ACTORS. Like please get a grip.

I'm in the middle of ep5 and met me tell you something. I totally love that Muhee and Hiro l8terally don't understand…
Yes! I find myself smiling at all their scenes! They're cute together even as friends.

Its hard to literally translate something from one language to another especially to English.
I understand that, what I'm saying is that the three English translation options Netflix is offering (English audio, Korean audio with English subtitles, and English CC) are NOT THE SAME. They're literally all the same language (ENGLISH) being translated in completely different ways, resulting in completely different conversations between the characters in the same scenes. They're all ENGLISH should all be the same or at least remotely similar and they're not.

Okay I'm on episode 5 now and I understand now why people found the FL's constant chasing of the ML annoying. It is annoying. He literally told you to go away unless you want to be the rebound for the woman he really loves, like...? Have some self-respect and let him come to you first. It was cute to me at first, but there's cute and then there's a doormat. I don't want to watch a doormat so hopefully this doesn't continue. I couldn't even enjoy the nothern lights scene because this gave me such an ick.

The real issue with this drama is the translations, at least in English. I've tested it a few times and if you watch one scene using English dubbing, then rewatch it using English subtitles, then again using English (CC), you will literally see three completely different conversations that can be interpreted in different ways. There is zero consistency. So that's probably why the reviews are all over the place. We are all watching completely different shows. šŸ˜‚

This was also one of the weakest edits I’ve seen in a drama. It genuinely felt like the editor had no clear…
I agree. This is supposed to be a comedy but I feel like the editing is a big part of the reason why a lot of the jokes are not landing for me. The timing is always just slightly off. I'm on episode 5 and it's not terrible but it could be so much better

Kim Eun Sook, Park Ji Eun and now Hong Sisters' latest dramas have had disappointing writing. These hyped scriptwriters…
I think people need to realize that writing is hard. Writing amazing scripts back-to-back, year after year, every single time is not only extremely diffcult but highly unlikely. Sometimes they're gonna write bangers and sometimes they're gonna write flops. It is what it is. Better luck next time. What the audience needs to do is stop hyping dramas soley based on the screenwriters and actors before they've even seen one minute of the show.

First epi... can't warch this. Again , is this a Kculture ? Kwomen naturally behaving like a b!tch? Kdirector…
I agree with you. I've noticed a lot of kdrama writers seem think making the FL act like an asshole is cute, but I can assure you, it's not. The first episode did nothing to endear me to her. I will say she gets better by episode 2 (I am only on episode 3). The ML is also not my favorite for different reasons. It's not a bad show so far but I can already tell these are not characters that I will fall in love with or want to revisit. Their stories and characterizations are not strong enough.

It's a sign of low intelligence imo. People who cannot think for themselves are sad.

I don't understand why people who didn't watch the show are coming here to start some cdrama vs kdrama war. Genuinely,…
Cdrama fans really can’t talk until they fix that horrific dubbing situation. I haven’t been able to finish a single Cdrama because of it and I’m sure a lot of them are good.

i think that comedy tag should be removed
I was just coming here to say this because it’s not funny at all. I can’t even tell if they were trying to be funny and failed or if the tag is just wrong but I’m almost done with the first episode and haven’t laughed once.

Title Idol I
I agree something's not clicking romantically it's very bland but that just imo
Agreed. The love story doesn't work because they're trying to sell us the dark life of an idol and a parasocial fan fantasy all at once. The truth is, an idol who has saesangs breaking into his house regularly would never date a woman who has millions of expensive memorbillia with his face on it hidden in her attic, no matter what her reasoning is. So their love story isn't believable. A great friendship/partnership could work though.

Super excited about this one. Huge fan of both of them, I almost always love Park Min Young's choices in roles and I've been waiting forever for Wi Ha Joon to be the lead in a really good romance!

Not only is he handsome, he's above average handsome. I don't know about Korea, but if he was walking down any street in the US, he would stand out easily.

Title Idol I
Since weekend is way too long I am rewatching the already released episodes and I am wondering...if the depiction…
There was an idol named Kim Sung Jae who made the huge mistake of dating one of his saesangs and she poisoned him. He's DEAD. She got away with it because her family is rich. So yes, it's very realistic.
