I agree. I fear this drama is going to try to be two things at once--a raw look into the dark, lonely world of an idol, and also an unrealistic self-insert fantasy for the obsessed fans who are a big part of the reason why these idol's lives are so dark and lonely in the first place. Like you can't tell both of these stories at the same time, in a romantic way. There's nothing romantic about it, and it's not a facet of this drama that I'm going to enjoy even though it's obviously coming. I'll continue to watch only because I want to know who the killer is.

If you're gonna remake it I don't want any watered down, sanitized bs. Do the original justice or don't do it at all thx.

Idols can't date publicly without their fans having a meltdown, they can't go outside in peace because their fans stalk them, they can't even feel safe in their own homes because their fans follow them there too. I think more idols dislike their fans than you would think and there's definitely not a single idol in the world that would ever date one of their obsessed fans. It's clear this drama is really going to require a huge suspension of disbelief and to throw all common sense out of the window.

He's the only interesting part of the show. Him and Chung Jae. They're the only reason I'm still watching this.

Imagine thinking you're living safely in the home of your professional lawyer and then randomly find hundreds of posters, pillows, and t-shirts with your face plastered all over them, that she never told you about, hidden in her attic! That's WEIRD. He's probably worried she has hidden cameras in all the teddy bears too. He has no way of knowing she's not just as crazy as the lunatics who broke into his house. Wait until he finds out she cried over him having a girlfriend like a maniac. It's realistic that he would fire her and very unrealistic that he could ever fall in love with her after this. If I were him I would pack all my shit and go straight to a motel.

Flawed characters are what make a great story, but flawed does not equal annoying. I find both leads annoying.

So far I genuinely don't like either of the leads, they're both annoying. The ML is an idiot and the FL is literally a braindead kpop fangirl who thinks all idols are virgins. I can't stand fangirls on twitter and I can't stand it here. I have zero interest in seeing a romance between them. The side characters and the mystery is the only thing keeping me holding on.

You just need to calm down and not take things so personally. People are allowed to feel how they feel and they’re allowed to express it, regardless whether it’s negative or positive.

Kdrama fans are also becoming like kpop fans because they’ve become overly protective of their favorite actors and demand toxic positivity from everyone because of it. The original commenter didn’t like the show and it’s their right to not like the show. I agree with them, I didn’t like it because it wasn’t good. People are allowed to have a different opinion from you without having to read a hypocritical essay calling them a kpop fan when the only one exhibiting fan behavior here is you.

I really like Lee Jun Ho but really hate his choices in projects. I haven't liked anything he's done since The Red Sleeve. I wish he would choose better roles.

If his ex didn’t want him to be in the child’s life then he has not told us that part of the story yet. Which is why I said I will wait until the next episode to hear if there is a better reason why, because the reasoning he’s given so far is unacceptable.

If that’s the case then “me and my girlfriend broke up, she took our son to Germany, and I made no attempt to see or speak to him in the last 14 years” is the entire explanation then he’s a deadbeat dad and that’s gross af. A breakup is not an acceptable reason to have never met your child in over a decade.

This is his second show that I’ve watched and I really like him! I think he has great leading man potential.

Anyone who is enjoying Chang Ryul in this drama, I HIGHLY recommend The Scandal of Chun Hwa. That drama has easily put him in my top 5 hottest kissers in kdrama history!
