Production seems solid, acting is chef kiss, well written script, unique characters, and beautiful actors and actresses. I was ready to hate this drama because it's about cheating and DV (not a good combination) turns out I was hooked. As much as I expect highly from this drama, I hope it ends with moral lesson.
Best surprise from the drama. The producers kept it secret from the casts, or at least the student casts, thus they only found out during the premiere of the first episode. There's a clip for it. It's fun to see their reactions, surprised and screaming. Cannot blame them. I screamed too XD

So happy to see fans of the original manga/anime here! Anyway... I think Itagaki suits Maki ok. Cuz Maki is supposed to be bishonen, petite and looked much younger than his age. Definitely way better than Ikuta Toma. Toma looked too old and too masculine to play Maki. LOL I'm surprised to see Yuuto's acting too. I can see the subtle difference when he played Aoki vs Suzuki. He's grown so much.
This drama is so interesting! I was skeptical, thinking it's gonna be typical school drama like Gokusen, GTO... Which gets boring if you use the same formula again and again and again... But the overall atmosphere of this drama is more like gripping, suspense, mystery drama... And I LOVE IT!
Btw if anyone noticed, this drama picked so many interesting casts. Like Matsuzaka Tori, Yoshioka Riho and Okada Masaki... This trio also acted in 'Yutori Desu Ga, Nanika' which Tori and Riho played same roles (teachers)... Or there are also trio from 8LOOM from the drama 'Kimi no Hana ni Naru'. Is it only me who think they are intentionally seated near each other in the class?

This drama blew my mind. At first I was skeptical, I was not a big fan of Kimutaku, in addition, they shot their first episode overseas with many foreign cameos and it's cheesy (typical of Japanese drama), so I didn't have high expectation. But quickly going from then, this drama turns out to have some of the best casts, characters, story development, scriptwriting and cinematography among Japanese dramas in recent years. The visual representation of the dishes, cooking processes, and every little details about running a restaurant or cooking as a profession or work in the food and beverage industry... I could tell that this drama is high quality production and that the staffs or everyone who work behind the camera really respect and research the industry, the food and the people very well. Oh, and ofc the moral of story is also good. This drama really came under my radar, but I'm glad I discovered it in 2024 and now I am thrilled to know that I don't have to wait long for sequels because they're going to release SP and Movie in the end of this year!
