it all started with Makiko wanting to protect his son because of this damn school, but instead she made him the…
Plot armor is so thick, not only Makikoâs crime didnât affect her son going to his chosen school (as per her original motive), she also attained new boyfriend and father figure to her son. This is exactly what they say, âKilling two birds with one stone.â
I really want to ask many unsatisfied fans here a question:Is it better to be honest about where one's heart now…
I didnât underestimate her. She knew and didnât say anything doesnât equal itâs okay for him to treat her the way he did. To be honest I wished Hiromi would just dump his ass right away, but the difference between him and her is that she actually loved him, so she stayed, hoping that someday heâll choose her and love her back. But he didnât. When talking about the future instead of talking about their future together, he mentioned another womanâs name and how he wanna support her. What do you think she should have done, clinging to him? Crying to him, begging him not to go and leave her? You making it sound like it was her free choice to leave him, but does she even have a choice? Junichi practically telling her, âRead the room and leaveâ. He didnât have the guts to properly ends things with her, nor say that he actually loves another woman. He lets the girl do all the work. Junichi is a coward through and through.
I really want to ask many unsatisfied fans here a question:Is it better to be honest about where one's heart now…
You are romanticizing and simplifying it too much.
âItâs better to be honest so both can move onâŠ.â It sounds nice when you frame it that way. But itâs an excuse highly convenient for Junichi and Makiko only, because they can get what they want and be together. Meanwhile, what about Hiromi? Her heart is broken and had to leave the house.
âRemember the drama setup gf of Junichi only 25 years old (still very young to find someone really love her)âŠâ I donât understand why age or age gap matter here. Junichi x Hiromi relationship didnât work out not because of their age gap, nor Hiromi being too young. Sheâs not a minor, sheâs already 25, a working adult, and from what Iâve seen, she behaves and acts way more mature than the other adults in this series.
Iâm not questioning about how much Junichi loves Makiko, or how he doesnât love Hiromi. Even if a break up is inevitable, there is a whole lot better way to end a relationship. My problem with Junichi lies in the way he treats his girlfriend, and the way and timing he broke up with her.
He used their planned date to play catch-ball with his crushâs son, he called her to babysit his crushâs son, he called her to make bento for his crushâs family. Only at times like this he acts like they are in a relationship and made her do what a girlfriend would do. He doesnât want to reciprocate her feelings, but still uses her when itâs convenient. And when asked about the future, he broke up with her so nonchalantly. Funny how he broke up with her AFTER he used her well and freed from guilt and nightmares. She who has been by his side when heâs having nightmares and PTSD and made him feel at ease and accepted. But all that means nothing, becauseâŠ. He just doesnât love her? The audacity.
Itâs not only lack of love, but also lack of respect, gratitude, and remorse that infuriates me.
And don't forget that nothing happened to Masaki. He shoplifted and should have learned from the experience but…
The way he dumped the nurse too was horrible. If the fact that Masaki shoplifted and that he is a son of a murderer didnât stop Masaki from getting accepted to his chosen school, then Makiko became a criminal for nothing đ€·đ»ââïž
I share your sentiment. I want to know how you feel about the last episode, including how Junichi ends things…
Many of Makikoâs interactions with the three childhood friends look like flirting or leading in my eyes. It wouldâve been better twist if she actually did it on purpose to manipulate them.
Keisuke with his inferior complex is written to be as lame as possible to show how Junichi could be better husband and father material.
As for Naoto. He cares about Makiko so much he took the blame for the killing, but didnât care about the consequences to his family. It must have been shocking to know that after all he has done for her, Makiko ended up turning herself not because sheâs overwhelmed by guilt but for another man, yes, Junichiâs sake.
Hiromi, the poor girlfriend who is almost like AI robot, giving Junichi solution and validation and even when he dumps her, sheâs so nonchalant and accept it right away with big smile.
Junichi, mixing his private and professional matters, was so cool when was a kid that all three of them admired him, but as an adult, heâs just a shitty cop and shitty boyfriend.
Something about all the characters giving me irks itâs hard to like them.
Anything else could happen in this series but if Makiko and Junichi end up together, it's getting a <5. Makiko…
I feel bad about Makikoâs past but Junichi x Makikoâs love story feels too forced. Itâs like they are only looking at the after-image of their feelings and memories from the past, how they fell in love when they were kids, but what about now? Are they falling for the present, adult version of each others? How do they fall in love again? How much do they know about each other currently? Itâ like itâs still a continuation from their unfinished love story from 23 years ago, but thinking about how some adults still couldnât move on from a crush from when they were kids makes me laugh
I empathize with Makiko and what she went though but I still don't like her. Naoto was used because she knew that…
I share your sentiment. I want to know how you feel about the last episode, including how Junichi ends things with his girlfriend. Hints: Itâs bullsh1t
I feel sorry for the nurse girl. She served as a barrier between Makiko and Junichi until the very end, and left…
He let her takes care of Masaki when the rest of them talking to Makiko (when Makiko is about to turn herself in). He let her prepares dishes for Masaki and Keisuke while Makiko being held in police station. He told her he felt at ease and accepted being with her but when asked about the future, he mentioned another womanâs name and told her he wants to be there to support Makiko. He only uses her when itâs convenient but didnât want to commit and disposed her once he got what he wants. What a jerk
If you are like me who think the ending is a total joke, and need to release some stress after watching the ridiculous…
This drama is just pretending to be some deep human mystery romance drama, but itâs not, itâs superficial at most: the story and the charactersâŠ.
Especially the romance department. I canât believe the moment Tobina Junichi found out that he didnât kill anyone and freed from guilt and when asked by his girlfriend to discuss about their future, he just so casually dumped her? Seriously?? First thing first waking up in the morning, still on the bed, is that something youâd say? Almost as easy as asking, âWhatâs breakfast for today?â What an a55hole đ€Ź There is no remorse, no apology, no thanks⊠He said he felt at peace, he felt accepted⊠He kept blabbering about himself. He might not love her, but he also didnât care about her feelings at all, didnât respect her, didnât appreciate her.
I think it would have been better if after the case from 23 years ago get resolved, Junichi who is freed from guilt finally able to acknowledge his feelings towards Makiko in the past, but he chose to move on and start fresh with Hiromi, who has always been by his side and supporting him. Or if we choose no romance development, he can just be single, sort his feelings and doing his best as a cop, not because out of guilt but this time, for justice. Or if too cliche, he can just quit and change job because, to be honest, Junichi is really shitty at being a cop.
What I mean is, anything but Junichi get together with Makiko, because their love story just feels so forced. Itâs like every characters are just written to make the two leads shine, like how popular Makiko is because 3 guys are going miles to protect her and 1 guy tried to get to her pants.
I know right! It's so fucking sad! I feel so bad to the original Ichika T^T Then Natsumi who is witnessing everyone…
Oh actually... Why do you think the real Gido lied that he stole the money, knowing he'll die? Did he do it to save Ichika? Why? Or to save his wife? How?
God I really feel bad for all parties.... Except that devil Goroku. The plot twist is brutal but I really felt…
I know right! It's so fucking sad! I feel so bad to the original Ichika T^T Then Natsumi who is witnessing everyone she's involved with getting hurt T^T Then Gido, Mayu, Machi, Fuyuhashi, etc... Literally everyone is losing something important to them. I already had a feeling Goroku is behind all of this. Because usually in the drama, the most unexpected one is the real culprit. And who would have thought someone would steal money from their own company? Damn he's rotten to the core! Now the only mystery left for me is who the spy among the police. I'm betting my money it's Gido's boss.
Very interesting. But where is this going? I'm so worried. Secretly I was hoping Ichika is reboot version of Natsumi. But even if she's not, I hope she's not the bad guy. I can't picture good ending for this drama :( I think it's gonna be sad ending.
I know Boss is the villain, but itâs so pitiful that he went back to the past (virtually) to save his lover even if that means sacrificing millions of lives and yet his lover doesnât have memory about him and even when her memory returned she still chose someone else.
